Mike Freeman, county attorney for Hennepin County, condemned the actions of white cop Derek Chauvin as 'horrific and terrible' But he added there was 'other evidence that does not support a criminal charge' Prosecutors must decide if the cop used force deemed 'excessive' when he knelt on George Floyd's neck for eight minutes until he passed out and later died Freeman warned the investigation 'can't be rushed' He voiced fears of a repeat of the Freddie Gray case in Baltimore in 2015 where all charges were dropped against cops involved in the black man's death Outrage is building as still no arrests have been made over Floyd's death with protests entering their third day in Minneapolis

It’s just the drugs, bro. /sarc
That would make sense if they only collected taxes once, and then never again. THEN they'd have a limited supply of taxpayer's money. As it is, they can just raise taxes the next year for whatever they ran short on this year.
“Complete horse hockey. Evidence? The man was cuffed for crying out loud!”
Before you jump the gun, yes he was cuffed and it could be the police were very wrong but...try to rein in your emotions and ask:
Was he gasping for air because he took drugs that surpressed his breathing?
Was the cop putting pressure on this neck or just keeping his head down?
Did you see all of the video or just parts of it?
Did you see him staggering and his knees buckling before he was put on the ground?
We don’t know yet so I’m not coming to any conclusions yet, but facts matter.
Google Malice Green. Two Detroit cops were railroaded because of that scum bag...
I remember how the media incited the Rodney King riots with selectively edited videos.
That is why it doesn’t hurt to be skeptical of the media in situations like this.
I do not see that. You are buying into the media narrative.
We will see, with evidence and carefull analysis of the video, if the media narrative is true.
There is at least some evidence he was *not* applying his full, weight, did not cut off the air flow, and likely did not block the artery.
Those things can be determined by an autopsy. They cannot be determined by the video and people looking at it.
I saw obvious signs of impairment.
For a start, he has difficulty getting out of the car, and resists the officers, who treat him very carefully, even gently.
ask:
Was he gasping for air because he took drugs that surpressed his breathing? -Irrelevant. The weight of a man was on his neck. -Hello???
Was the cop putting pressure on this neck or just keeping his head down? -Watch the video, idiot.
Did you see all of the video or just parts of it? -All
Did you see him staggering and his knees buckling before he was put on the ground? -He was walking upright and straight.
We dont know yet so Im not coming to any conclusions yet, but facts matter. -Whatever. The observed facts are plenty. If it was your kid you’d feel different.
Hopefully we will find out what happened during that time, because it looked like the police were simply going to walk him to the awaiting transport police car....then next we know, he's pinned on the ground.
Obviously, something significant transpired between those two videos.
Question is, what was it?
I believe that all evidence should be looked at.
Remember when one of our Marines shot a wounded jihadi in a mosque in Fallujah?
There was a rush to judgement on that young Marine, the video looked terrible, as if it were an execution, and that was the way it was portrayed in the media all around the world including, shamefully, in our own country.
Turns out that yes, that Marine was under huge stress, they had been engaging in house to house combat, clearing one house after another for weeks, and they had seen some of their own guys killed by jihadis who were playing dead to facilitate our Marines getting close enough to where the jihadi could plug them with a bullet or blow themselves up.
When that young Marine saw the “dead” jihadi in a row of dead jihadis suddenly move, he fired first screaming “He’s faking!” (This is from memory)
I want to see more information on this. I am in no way excusing the police, because what we can see is indefensible, no matter what happened before it. But is that murder, or not following training/procedures because of something surrounding that situation we are unaware of. There is no way that cop should have had his knee on the neck of a cuffed suspect. None. They don’t train that way. In the middle of the back, yes, but not on the neck. So there is no defending that.
But before I am ready to agree with a mob that wants them hanged outright, I want to make sure I see all the factors laid out first.
I fully agree there are cops in this country who shouldn’t be cops, never mind the kind of cops who carry automatic weapons and wear full body armor.
But at the same time, they have to do the dirty work of interacting with the seamy underbelly of our society, they have to see the worst of human behavior, day after day. And I believe, if we farm that work out to them so we don’t have to deal with that seamy underbelly, we should at the very least be willing to look at everything surrounding the incident before joining a mob calling for their heads.
It is what we should do.
And I know we haven’t done that yet.
Whatever its flaws, there is a legal process for pursuing remedies in homicide. This process must be followed. Otherwise, there will be anarchy and vigilance committees...
Just another liberal democrat owned and operated paradise...
They look disconnected from reality.
Dead eyes, no emotional involvement.
No attempt to block cameras.
Almost as if the are in a trance or sleep walking.
Or under a post-hypnotic suggestion...
The government wants to disarm us after 243 yrs 'cuz they plan to do things we would shoot them for!
At no point in history has any government ever wanted its people to be defenseless for any good reason ~ nully's son

Yup
Well, if these mobs were left to their devices, those cops would already be strung up on meathooks, no doubt about it.
Maybe they do deserve it. But I would rather it come from a judge and jury rather than a mob.
First responders stated he had no pulse in the ambulance. They tried to revive him. They were unsuccessful
First responders stated otherwise.
There is nothing in the police manual about putting knees on the neck. And If a cop were to do this, it states clearly that medical attention needs to be given immediately if they say they need it.
Somewhere in a lonely hotel room
There's a guy starting to realize
That his eternal fate has turned its back on him
It's two A.M
It's two A.M., the fear has gone
I'm sitting here waitin', the gun still warm
Maybe my connection is tired of takin' chances
Yeah, there's a storm on the loose, sirens in my head
Wrapped up in silence, all circuits are dead
Cannot decode, my whole life spins into a frenzy
Help, I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
Place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go now that I've gone too far?
Help, I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
Place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go now that I've gone too far?
See you're a garden gnome
When the bullet hits the phone
See you're a garden gnome
When the bullet hits the phone

(Heh, sorry, just couldn't resist!)
In case you missed it.
Murder 3 and Manslaughter.
Going for the layup rather than risk letting him walk on Murder One.
More favoritism towards government employees.
