Remember when one of our Marines shot a wounded jihadi in a mosque in Fallujah?

There was a rush to judgement on that young Marine, the video looked terrible, as if it were an execution, and that was the way it was portrayed in the media all around the world including, shamefully, in our own country.

Turns out that yes, that Marine was under huge stress, they had been engaging in house to house combat, clearing one house after another for weeks, and they had seen some of their own guys killed by jihadis who were playing dead to facilitate our Marines getting close enough to where the jihadi could plug them with a bullet or blow themselves up.

When that young Marine saw the “dead” jihadi in a row of dead jihadis suddenly move, he fired first screaming “He’s faking!” (This is from memory)

I want to see more information on this. I am in no way excusing the police, because what we can see is indefensible, no matter what happened before it. But is that murder, or not following training/procedures because of something surrounding that situation we are unaware of. There is no way that cop should have had his knee on the neck of a cuffed suspect. None. They don’t train that way. In the middle of the back, yes, but not on the neck. So there is no defending that.

But before I am ready to agree with a mob that wants them hanged outright, I want to make sure I see all the factors laid out first.

I fully agree there are cops in this country who shouldn’t be cops, never mind the kind of cops who carry automatic weapons and wear full body armor.

But at the same time, they have to do the dirty work of interacting with the seamy underbelly of our society, they have to see the worst of human behavior, day after day. And I believe, if we farm that work out to them so we don’t have to deal with that seamy underbelly, we should at the very least be willing to look at everything surrounding the incident before joining a mob calling for their heads.

It is what we should do.

And I know we haven’t done that yet.

It's the first excessive use of force video I've seen where the cops aren't screaming.

They look disconnected from reality.

Dead eyes, no emotional involvement.

No attempt to block cameras.

Almost as if the are in a trance or sleep walking.

Or under a post-hypnotic suggestion...

A nine-minute long uncut video from six feet away with no breaks or camera tricks, where the perp's knee is on the victim's neck the whole time, and where the knee stays on the victim's neck for 2 1/2 minutes after he involuntarily voids his bowels, isn't enough?

BTW Mr. Kneecap had ten prior excessive force complaints, which the County Attorney never prosecuted Her name? Amy Klobuchar, current US Senator from MN and until now VP hopeful under Biden.

Mr. Kneecap has been arrested for Murder 3 and manslaughter.

It's amazing how many posters there are who make up increasingly bizarre excuses for government agents, belying the name "FREE Republic."

The guy's "crime" was being accused of passing a counterfeit $20...they could have let him drive away and arrested him calmly any old time, instead of dragging him out of his car, calling that "resistance" and using that as an excuse for deadly force after he was lying down in the street with his hands cuffed behind him.
