President Trump is facing intense backlash for celebrating the recent layoffs that took place at the liberal magazine The Atlantic.
Last week, The Atlantic became the latest of several news outlets that have cut its staff amid the coronavirus pandemic, detailing in a memo to staff that 68 of their colleagues were let go, resulting in a cut of roughly 17 percent of all of the magazine's employees.
Roughly 40 million Americans have lost their jobs since the beginning of the pandemic. On Tuesday night, Trump touted the layoffs from the magazine whose coverage has been largely critical of the president.

Intense backlash? What a joke. How could it get more intense?
First, name something he DOESN’T face ‘backlash’ over.
Backlash?

Here’s the thing...if the Atlantic was writing great stuff....people would be asking for it, and advertising would be paying all the bills. They produce marginal stuff, and probably haven’t been a four-star piece in a full decade. For those who remain with a job....you’d best go and start getting active, or you will be next.
If “The Atlantic” had been a ship, it would have sunk to the bottom of the media Bermuda Triangle years ago. Once it was half decent. In the last couple of years, it has become leftist garbage and full of Trump haters.
So to “The SS Atlantic”, Bon Voyage. Here, have a couple more lead anchors as going away gifts.
Without even looking, I feel sure it’s from the Associated Press.
There is not l “intense backlash” from anybody apart from the fake news media and their Dem masters.
Did they mean eyelash, not backlash?
“The magazine is using COVID-19 as an excuse to speed up the layoffs”
Well at least China Virus was good for something. Anything that hurts leftards, Im all for it.

The 2020 election should be a breeze for President Trump, but hes driving some voters away with his tweets. He already has his base. I know Im voting for him. Why needlessly risk losing moderates and independents over some tweets? A change in tone is long overdue but sadly unlikely at this point.
“Largely critical” huh?
Chuckle.
If you call 100% anti Trump hate as “largely critical” that is.
Paul Ryan’s bozos again. What backlash? Those peckerheads just called Trump “unmanly” this last weekend, and there’s not a word about that in this trough of lies.

There is not a single Trump voter that I know who doesn't hate The Atlantic. There may be some, sure. Just haven’t met them yet.
should have noted Jonathan (Jon) Levine is from NY Post.
Is that you, General Kelly?
You think maybe he knows what he’s doing?
