Is this a GREAT COUNTRY or what!
A wealth tax requires a constitutional ammendment just like the income tax did.
Did they get rich without breaking any laws?
If so what is the problem? Nothing stops you from becoming a Billionaire except your lack of skills to achieve that success.
Lol
At least he’s honest :)
You are right. You do not understand economics.
Those trillion dollar bailouts had to go somewhere. That is how it always works — the rich get richer.
Governent of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich.
We are blessed to live in a nation where the rich and powerful threw us a bigger bone than most of the serfs get, when the nation was founded. Since the middle class started with a much bigger part of the pie than nations with royalty or dictators, it has taken a long time to shink the middle class down to what it is now.
We never have had much influence in US politics or been the ones to share in the prosperity at a high level. Don’t get me wrong. We were blessed to have it so good for so long and we still do compared with most nations. It is just that peoploe often get the idea that it is a level playing field, and it never has been.
Before your existence here lasts about 4 days why don’t you explain more what you are thinking. Don’t be afraid to say what you think but you have to expand on what you said.
I have taken unpopular views at times but your post sounds like it’s punishing the successful.
perhaps small businesses taking a beating while the big businesses got to stay open is not very fair
Perhaps just a sales tax is what’s needed.
But elaborate on your answer or you won’t last here long. :)
Exodus 20:17 King James Version (KJV) 17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Envy is nothing more than wanting what you do not have. Leave your neighbor alone. "Thou shall not steal."
I used to defend the Billionaires. Now I am convinced that they are the problem. Free men need to rise up
It is true leaders in Washington have become kings and queens instead of senators and house members. It is also true it has become a little too much of an oligarchy with a handful of companies controlling an awful lot.
But those kings and queens still had to get elected. And they have to win re-election every two and six years.
The problem is the voters. Many are uneducated and lazy.
And you can quote the Bible all you want but when senators and house members are bought and sold by large corporations and allowed to stay open while small businesses get crushed for months quoting the Bible doesn’t help one little bit.
I did there was no need to put it in bold. We can all read regular font and this wasn’t a thread about religion, where you needed to make sure it stood out.
I think there’s something about arrogance and pride in the Bible too :-)
Its a stupid headline
From Feb. to Mid-March, these same people lost $550+ billion. Mid-March was the bottom of the Dow Jones 30%+ decline. Now its back to last November prices. Of course owners of large companies will see an increase in their wealth as share prices rise.
Hahahahahahahahahaha!
Proverbs 17:23 The wicked accept bribes in secret to pervert the course of justice. ‘Nuff said.
IBTZ! Hi nOOb! By nOOb! Tell your pals at the DUmp you had a nice stay here!
Very perceptive.
I would imagine that is true, but what is even more unpopular is a poster who makes a statement like that but won't engage in discourse on it.
Your problem not mine; I simply quoted verses.
LOL, that may find a place next to stune and beeber!
Until recently I never agreed with this but yes, we should tax wealth. I’m so sick of Bill Gates maybe if we taxed the Buffet would shut up.
