Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, on Wednesday asked acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell for the underlying intelligence reports in which former National Security Adviser Michael Flynns name was unmasked.
In a letter obtained by The Hill, Warner asked Grenell for any underlying intelligence reports concerning conversations between Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador Sergei Kisltak, as well as the reasoning behind declassifying the unmasking requests, given the potential compromise to sources and methods.
As you are well aware, there are substantial protections built into the process for requesting that identities of U.S. persons be unmasked in intelligence reports, ensuring that the rights of individual Americans are protected and that unmasking requests are granted only to those who need the information in order to protect U.S. national security, Warner wrote.
[S]elective declassification for political purposes undermines the integrity of our system for protecting classified information, undermines the Intelligence Communitys credibility, and erodes public trust in institutions critical to protecting the nation, he added.
Although the Senate panel typically operates on a bipartisan basis, Warner has no power on his own to compel Grenell to turn over the documents.

If not for double standards there would be none at all in the demoncrat party.
He wouldn’t ask for it if he didn’t know what they contain, which is most likely unsubstantiated allegations, which will be used as media fodder.
Declassify EVERYTHING then.
Warner has been awfully quiet lately, much noisier before impeachment and its failure. Probably should be added to the list of suspects.
[S]elective declassification [U]nmasking for political purposes undermines the integrity of our system for protecting classified information, undermines the Intelligence Communitys credibility, and erodes public trust in institutions critical to protecting the nation, he added.
There, fixed!
He is a Democrat therefore no to be trusted.
This guy ought to know by now that the Intelligence Community has no credibility anymore.

There are several dozen critical issues that stem from revelations about the DOJ and FBI conduct in/around the Carter Page FISA application (2017) and Steele Dossier writ large; but DOJ official Bruce Ohr still being employed isnt one of them, and heres why.
(further down) Bruce Ohr wasnt the only non FBI person back-channeling information from corrupt source Christopher Steele into the FBI and Mueller team in 2017. SSCI Vice-Chairman Mark Warner was doing exactly the same thing. Senator Warner was having secret contacts, would rather not have a paper trail, with Steele through liaison Adam Waldman, and then relaying information to Robert Mueller.
So how is the DOJ going to hold Bruce Ohr accountable for back-channeling unverified information from corrupted source Christopher Steele to the FBI (Mueller), when SSCI Vice-Chairman Mark Warner was doing exactly the same thing? The impeachment coup was a plan, an insurance policy of sorts; a coordinated effort between corrupt politicians and hold-over allies in the executive; however, because she didnt want to participate in this Senator Dianne Feinstein abdicated her vice-chair position to Senator Mark Warner. ...
Warner obviously wasn’t privy to the back and forth request from Schiff and response by Grenell ... will look like a fool soon.
Warner? Added? He been on that list. Him and his little Kaine klown too.

Yeah, like the deputy assistant to the undersecretary of the Treasury Dept? The ambassador to Italy? Slo Joe Biden?
Lol...Warner fishing to find out what they know about him and his secret backchannel contacts with the agent of a Russian oligarch...
See above
You STUPID VIRGINIANS!
.... Circulating the internet now is that Flynn’s name was never masked .... If true ... this raises a few more questions about the surveillance ....
Now that Burr is gone, Warner has to do the dirty work himself. Rubio is not much better than Burr so it is only a matter of time before he does Burrs bidding.
He seems to be asking for actual classified information to be declassified, for the reason that doing so would be harmful.
It clearly is not harmful to “sources” or “methods” to have a list of names of Obama administration officials who asked for names to be unmasked.
LEAKER Warner... nervous in the service. To cover his own lousy a@@! Answer is— not to YOU Warner clown. We got your a@@ kisser dumbass Burr out of the way who covered for this shite. Not Rubio— not for you idiot boy Warner. Grenell says- no....
And when he does Warner should figure out he is a FISA abuse target with numbered days. Beautiful! Stupid VA a-hole— belongs in a cell with Tim Kaine and some vaseline.
