Richard Burr's insider trading scandal is a national security risk

Burr, like any citizen, is innocent until proven guilty. But the senator should also be investigated for potential violations of the Espionage Act.

A member of the congressional “Gang of Eight,” Burr was briefed on America’s most confidential intelligence analyses, which are source-revelatory to readers who understand how raw human, imagery, and signals intelligence reporting work. In general, I think the Rats are a 100 times more corrupt than the GOP. However, I also believe that there is enough corruption in the GOP for the Rats to blackmail them to avoid their expossure. We need to clean up the GOP first, THEN we can go after the Rats and put them behind bars.

All indications are that Burr didn’t violate any laws here. That’s probably why he had no qualms about making calls on his “unsecured phone” to do what he did.

Insider Trading?

What a sick joke.

Burr sold on 13 February 2020.

That was two days before an international COVID Stock Market Panic started.

And, that was after a 14 month bull market during which stocks went up 55%.

And, as of today, the value of Burr's stocks are almost at exactly the same value as when he sold them.

And, was anyone on this thread actually watching the cable business channels on 13 February? There was a high level of COVID anxiety for weeks before the selling started.

Fellow Freepers, please do not help the Democrat Party destroy another Republican just because he's a RINO.

The only reason we have a Senate majority is because have at least six obvious RINOS in the Senate.

Outstanding. This couldn’t happening to a more deserving U.S. Senator. Burr had no problem using the power of his committee to assault supporters of POTUS. Now the loafer is on the other foot and I couldn’t be happier at these developments.

He’s NOT going to resign anytime soon...certainly not this year. When and if he does resign before the 2022 election, his replacement (for the remainder of his current term which goes through 2022) will be named by the NC Governor. North Carolina law mandates that his named replacement MUST be of the same political party so he/she will be a Republican. But you can take it to the bank that it won’t be a “Trump Republican”.

Hopefully those in charge will take the time to also look at Kelly Loeffler. She’s just as guilty as Burr.
