I wear masks when going into stores, and I think businesses should have the right to mandate masks. It’s better to do this at the company level than have a government mandate.
I think the virus was hyped. I pretty much think it was just the flu, bro.
But I am not outraged if a company has a mandatory mask policy. They may lose some business because of it. That’s their problem. I am not likely to demand that the company change their policy. It’s not my business.
But it’s different for the government to mandate a mask for me. That is something I don’t like.
Nonsense.
Pure nonsense.
Stores can turn you away for not wearing shoes or a shirt.
They can certainly do it for not wearing a mask during a Pandemic.
Dont like it? Shop elsewhere.
Folks...Please...if that is Costco company policy they HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO SO. I am 100% not going to wear a mask but I DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to go into a PRIVATE BUSINESS that does not have a LAW prohibiting it from telling me that as a condition of going there they want me to wear a mask.
Now, that being said, if the state or federal government has a rule or law saying that this private business CANNOT force a member to wear a mask as a condition of coming in then I am ALL IN on FORCING CostCo to comply.
This is the wrong battle to choose.
Costco is the only place i have worn a mask thought this (insert word of choice).
Costco is the only place i can get fresh fish right now so I will wear the damned mask.
I was in Costco a week ago and talking to my wife on the phone with my mask down. I was in front of that glass area behind the meats. I heard a loud tap on the glass. One of the workers pointed to her mask and mine. I pointed to my phone. She did it again. I waved her off and turned my back on her.
End of story. I don’t suffer Karens. I live in Kentucky where Costco is fairly new. But I moved here from Seattle. They always marvel at my membership inception date, 1988. Fir most of the employees I come across, that is before they were born.
BTW, I just parted ways with my church temporarily over this. They are welcoming everyone back starting next week but you have to wear a mask and social distance. I played bass in the worship team, taught some sunday school and participated in jail ministry. I told them I’ll be back when they no longer require masks.
I’m actually doing it for them. I abhor the whole mask nonsense and consider it MSM conditioning. If I was in Sunday school or service, all I would be thinking about is how everyone is being brainwashed. I would be angry and I would be losing respect for the other members by the minute. We are told to not be contentious in church so, for me, it means I can’t go as long as masks are required.
If you dont want to wear a mask into Costco, dont go. Their store, their rules.
Don’t go to Costco. Problem solved.
They are a private company and can do what they want. If you don’t like it. Go to Sam’s.
They have a right to protect their workers.
What happened to welcome to Costco, I love you?
CDC claiming between 24,000 - 62,000 deaths by influenza in this link: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm so I believe the Covied 19 is in the ballpark with influenza deaths.
Makes one wonder.
Best message to send is to avoid it altogether.
I respect your decision to not wear a mask, but Costco also has the right to demand that their customers wear masks.
What happens when your doctor demands you wear one to your appointment?
I’m not due for a few more months, but the spouse has been so required.
Sorry but Costco has the right to make you wear a mask to shop there. End of story.
In our “racially sensitive, non gender specific, politically correct, if it only saves one life” world, those in charge went about this all wrong. Again the typical reaction, punish the majority for the minority. In Minnesota it’s only Minneapolis, quarantine the hell out of them, wall them off. In Nebraska it’s only Omaha, the same. So I live in the country and I’m expected to wear a mask and stay at home. Come on. As to the man who obviously watches CNN and throws out the 93K dead figure as FACT. I’ll bet it’s half that. They count everyone. So the obese woman with diabetes and high blood pressure living in a nursing home at 88 contracts a strain of Covid, dies...IT’S COVID. Really. It’s not.
I much prefer Sam's over Costco for the product selection anyway.
