Folks...Please...if that is Costco company policy they HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO SO. I am 100% not going to wear a mask but I DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to go into a PRIVATE BUSINESS that does not have a LAW prohibiting it from telling me that as a condition of going there they want me to wear a mask.
Now, that being said, if the state or federal government has a rule or law saying that this private business CANNOT force a member to wear a mask as a condition of coming in then I am ALL IN on FORCING CostCo to comply.
This is the wrong battle to choose.
While it is true that Costco is a private company and can within limits have its own policies, what in the blazes is wrong with Costco customers telling the company that they find a policy objectionable and that the policy affects their willingness to continue patronizing Costco. Being a private company does not make the company immune to criticism.
Wrong. My son has mental disabilities and cannot wear a mask (he is basically a one year old in a 15 year old body). We cannot wear a mask either as it upsets him. They are in violation of the ADA with this policy, if they try to enforce it.
The good news is I talked to the general manager at my location in GA and he said, all employees are instructed not to pursue any further, if you say you can’t wear one for medical reasons.
Who has said they don't? Where?
So, do we not even have a right to complain about this idiotic policy?
