LANSING, Mich. – Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave an update Tuesday night regarding the state’s response to dam conditions and flooding in mid-Michigan.
A breached dam caused by several days of rainfall and rising water has forced the evacuation of about 10,000 people in mid-Michigan.
READ: Evacuations underway in mid-Michigan after Edenville Dam breaks Whitmer urged residents in Midland County to evacuate as soon as possible. She said both the south and west side of Midland had been evacuated.
“Please, get somewhere safe now,” Whitmer said. “This is serious.”
She asked residents to either go stay with a relative or friend. If they didn’t have a place to stay shelters were made available.
The most important thing if you get washed away is to make sure everyone floats at least six feet from one another.

Now, Michigan has to fix the dam roads, too.

A quick search and I see that it used to be a nuke plant, now converted over to natural gas to generate steam.
Hey you, stop. While fleeing the flood you were only 4 feet from someone outside your household. Here’s a summons for not social distancing. Oh, and if you die due or get sick to this flood, we will count you as a COVID case due to lack of social distancing.

And no talking, that could spread the virus. Just wear your mask and stare at the TV while it tells you what to do.
Make sure the evacuees have their masks and gloves on. What the hell has Ms. Whitmer been doing all this time, worrying about her toenail fungus? She has allowed a city to be flooded. A 100/300 year study should have been done on that dam years before it was built. Liberal Michiganers voted in Whitmer, now you sure are paying for it.
Sounds like using a motor boat would be critical.......... oh well too bad, so sad....

Midland is where they used to manufacture all of the silicon breast implants. No doubt near and dear to the Governor’s heart.
That is why President Trump must get to America’s aging infrastructure...cleaning up these dam failures, will cost double or triple the cost of rehabilitating them. Impeach Pelosi sabotaging her government.
Lake St. Clair here in S.E. Michigan has been a nightmare for folks living along the shore line and on the canals......
So the Governor was aware (or should have been) of the problems with the dams and did nothing to remedy the situation. Shades of Flint water crisis.
