Psychology, conflicting rules, misinformation and anxiety fueling bad behavior and violence, experts say
As a culture war rages across the nation over whether to wear protective masks, closer to home the battle is spilling over into store aisles and shopping center parking lots with alarming frequency and at times violent consequences.
Los Angeles police this week announced the arrest of two brothers who allegedly assaulted store employees and a security guard who attempted to escort them from a Target in Van Nuys for refusing to wear masks. ...

Costco requires masks but I saw about ten folks who pulled them down once in the store.
I go out to exercise, shop and see if they’ve reopened public buildings that are important to me, such as the synagogue and mikveh. I keep a mask with me, and put it on when I have to to avoid hassles. But personally, I don’t believe it’s worth a good sh!t as protection.
Apparently others with greater sewing skills than I possess are already on the case, judging from other replies.
I haven’t seen any in my neighborhood (MA, Cape Cod) which is hardly surprising.
I dont wear masks. If I ever get sick you can shame me.
I figure that I have an immune system for a reason.
Was that filmed in MI?
Wear one if you want. Dont if you dont.
Not hard.
Yep. Simple, American idea.
Of course now, masks are becoming the hottest new virtue signaling item. Which probably will not help our simple American idea.
LOL.. Yup! I saw that!
‘It said Wuhan wild wings, so delicious its contagious or something to that effect.’
I’m attempting to find one that says ‘this mask is as useless as Governor Wolf’...
So they work for medical professionals but not for the public??? Draw your own conclusions.
Nations that have good mask protocols have not been as hard hit as countries that don't.
This peer reviewed study says they do work for Coronavirus.
Respiratory virus shedding in exhaled breath and efficacy of face masks
But realize that the rest of us are not into virtue signaling.
This ^^^^^^^ A thousand times this ^^^^^^^
Viruses don't grow in warm wet conditions on a mask. Viruses grow when they connect with a matching receptor cell in the body and produce a million copies of themselves.
Some busy body gave my 94 year old father in law a mask while he was walking in the neighborhood a few houses away. They dont realize he has enough trouble breathing without a mask on and now thinks he needs to wear one while walking. People need to mind their own dang business
“I don’t wear masks. If I ever get sick you can shame me.”
I’m with you. I will never wear one. Not ever. On a side note, in the last week or so, I’ve seen fewer and fewer people wearing them. We’re just about finished with Phase 1 of Oklahoma’s re-opening, with Phase 2 starting on friday. I’d be willing to bet that after Friday, the number of virtue-signalers will drop even more.
If people want to wear them, fine and dandy. But never, EVER try to force me, shame me, shun me, belittle me, or whatever the hell the signalers try to do.
Lol, no ones shamed me yet, wonder why?
“Have MAGA masks started showing up yet?”
i made one for myself with a wide permanent marker, writing
MAGA
Mask
on a white N95 ... the only results have been smiles and a few positive comments ..,
I don’t need for it to do any good. If I didn’t get the virus ‘til now, a piece of cloth isn’t going to make any difference. The only good I expect of it is to enter a grocery store and buy my groceries and leave without getting a hard time for not wearing a mask.
In Delaware you can't enter a public place without a mask. But I have one I made especially for myself, of cheesecloth, along with a yellow Star of David button, in the middle of which, where once was the word "Jude," it says, "Did we forget?"
For your interest :)
