The far-left wing of the Democratic Party in the House is pushing once again for coronavirus-relief cash payments for illegal aliens.
They also want high-schoolers age 16 and over to qualify for $2,000 a month handouts.
Just the News reported a proposal by Democratic Reps. Ro Khanna of California to pay illegal aliens who "demonstrate continuous presence" in the U.S. and those in high school age 16 and older.
The stand-alone legislation is called the Emergency Money for the People Act, JTN reported, but the lawmakers hope it eventually will be incorporated into a larger coronavirus-impact bill.
The two Democrats want to give monthly payments for one year to those making less than $130,000 as an individual or $260,000 as a couple.

I understood the $1200 last time and understood that it would take too long to assess who didn’t need the money so they gave it to everyone.
But this is insane. No one earning less than $50,000 a year will ever want to work and will lose whatever work ethic they had. The damage will be lasting.
These economic illiterates will also be shocked when the cost of literally everything rises to meet the new minimum wage levels.
Heard a guy here in Reno the other day say he’s having a hard time getting some of his construction guys back to work since they make more getting their unemployment and the extra $600 nanzi bux.
I feel awkward when people are thanking me for doing my job delivering mail and packages. I mean, it's cool, but I'm here for the money, thank you very much. I'm being paid to bring you this stuff.
So yeah, it might actually do something for the work ethic as people who will be at work will be doing it because they don't want to just sit at home on the couch collecting a check.
As for the proposition that liberals are buying votes with our money? They're doing that anyway. There's no if ands or buts about it, they're buying votes with our money be it stimulus or extended unemployment or extra food stamps or whatever.
You can have money to feed into an Amazon or Google or Apple account or you can have freedom. Freedom from illegals, freedom from criminals given release passes because they might get sick, freedom to go outside again and work, or you can have the liberal vision of you being locked in your home, able to go out for an abortion, buy pot or booze, and that's just about it.
I'm pretty sure that home imprisonment isn't a winning electoral strategy.

Gee, what about those who are elderly, live with grown children who claim the elderly as a dependent. Will the elderly be eligible this time around for a payment?

My daughter is in an essential business, but lost about 1/4 of her hours for a couple of months. Between unemployment and the $1,200 one-time payment, she’s doing better than before. She’s starting to make the same observation as the construction guys in Reno.
You dont want a teen walking around with more than a 20 dollar bill.
Why not just call it what it is? communism, where the government is the sole employer and the sole property owner, and the money is fake, and the empty shelves real.
The bill also makes illegals legal if you can believe that.
The price of votes is up once again.

I agree up to a point. I think one solution is to reduce that $600 extra unemployment pay $100 every week for the next 6 weeks so the recipients can feel the pain of being broke slow until it dawns on them they need to get their work ethic out of the closet, shake the dust off it, and get back to work if they can. Let the normal amount of pay continue for the full 6 months but after that 6 weeks; they need to provide proof they are looking. As I understand it they don't have to prove it now.
Realistically it's different in different states so adjust this accordingly. For instance we know NYC is worse than Wyoming so they may need extra pay for a little longer but still reduce; just slower like $50 a week instead of $100.
