When the government forces a business to close, forces the sale of property, or forces someone to not work, it is a taking. The constitution requires compensation for takings.

The Dems have been clever. First they scared a good contingent of Freepers (mostly the Freepers getting government checks) into giving up their liberty and signing onto the tyrannical lockdowns. Then the Dems go all in on a massive expansion of government spending to offset the very crisis they created (with help from aforementioned Freepers).
