from the article:

Section 1324 of the federal Immigration and Nationality Act makes it a felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment for anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” The period behind bars doubles if he or she acted “for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain.”

Doesn't this make it a FELONY to be an Elected Official in Every Sanctuary State, County and City in America?? Shouldn't US Attorneys be Ramping up for Mass Prosecutions now??

If illegal immigrants can ignore our laws and go anywhere they want to......why can’t we?

This is kind of a crazy law. We’re there any attempted prosecutions?

I believe that same immigration laws include the possibility of the death penalty for anyone giving aid to an illegal alien who commits murder.

Lawyers are not exempt. In fact, lawyers can retroactively be indicted for actively encouraging illegal aliens.

The Supremes threw out the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision based upon the 9th CCA judges acting as plaintiffs instead of as judges. No wonder it was unanimous!

There's a whole host of agencies and beaurocrats who are felons. Everything from SSA, Dept of Ed, chambers of commerce, and most definitely "sanctuary states."

Good news...

However, need to view it in the context of trying to bringing a loaded super tanker to a stop...

The communist momentum may require a bunch of torpedoes to actually “stop”...

How bad do you have to screw up for Sotomayor and Ginsburg to rule against you?

Good, now we should nail Soros and company to the wall on our southern border and leave their corpses for the buzzards.

Not really sure how much I’m “not being serious” ... though I’m certainly not being literal and speaking for effect.

Also, those with no provable something to gain should be those MOST punished ... not the least. Those able to press the ideology behind open borders and population replacements are worse than people merely getting their proverbial 30 pieces of silver.

The Supreme Court unanimously resurrected a federal law struck down by an appeals court that made it a felony to encourage people to come to or stay illegally in the United States.

Isn't that the 2nd unanimous decision within like a week of each other? I think the previous one was on the New Jersey "bridgegate" case. I must be having flashbacks. 8>)

The period behind bars doubles if he or she acted “for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain.”

I notice the absence of FOR POLITICAL GAIN.

That is where most of the incentive for the encouragement for illegal aliens to come to the United States actually lies IMO.

If that verbiage was in the law most of the Democrat Party would be in legal jeopardy. And so would a sizable portion of the Republican Party.

Yes, most of the sanctuary government leadership should be indicted under this law, as I see it.

Supreme Court should rule on the illegal Obama-era H4EAD executive order that allows Indian spouses to take American jobs (it’s 96% Indians)
