Shelling of Tripoli's airport hit fuel tanks and damaged passenger planes after forces loyal to Libya's renegade military commander Khalifa Haftar fired dozens of rockets into Tripoli.
Six people were killed and dozens of others wounded in the attacks, the interior ministry said in a statement, which included as many as 80 rocket strikes.

Haftar may be a bastard, but he is an anti-Islamist bastard. The noose is tightening around Tripoli and Erdogan can’t send mercenaries fast enough to postpone the fall.

Khalifa, who had been one of Quadaffi’s general’s
but was captured in Chad and turned by the CIA.
Lived in Virginia for years.
Put back into Libya after the debacle of Obama/Clinton’s
disastrous overthrow of Quadaffi.
Allied with Egypt and other Gulf states, opposing Turkey-backed support of Tripoli Gov.
Also (now) allied with and supported by Force Wagner (Russian)
Bottom line : We never should have messed with Quadaffi. It was Obama/Clinton’s massive folly. There never would have been a Benghazi , and probably no Syrian Civil War .
