Most Americans would vote for this because most Americans don’t work and could care less where or how the money gets to them.
Democrat leaders must have loaded up on gold futures.
Are there any adults on the Democrat side of Congress or do they all believe in a magic tree that that grows money leaves for them to use to purchase votes?
Before you go the distance and become convinced that it has merit, consider the following questions.
1. How long will $15k be worth $15k?
2. Where will the money come from?

I’m one of those idiots who works long hours at a stressful job so my wife can stay home and raise kids, but even if that income number is doubled for married couples I wont get an effing dime.
But I may just eventually throw my hands up and go on the welfare gravy train. Or ask for a pay cut so I can qualify, work less, take home more. What could possibly go wrong.
A perfect way for the lazy to stay home indefinitely.

Here’s the thing:
You can sit at home with your welfare check but, that is the limit of the supplicancy your Givernment can give you.
You can never outrun inflation, which will take off like a dragster running 300mph down a race track next year.
On the other hand, you can get off your butt and make a life for yourself and your family. You know, your children and grandchildren.
You can create opportunities, Your Patron Givernment never will.
You can create income that outruns inflation, your Patron Givernment who demands your Abeyance and Fealty as a Supplicant never will.
You can outsell inflation, the thieving Givernment can only take so much and even then you can out sell them.
Get Back to Work or become a state proletariat who is supplied only with your needs and occasionally according to your works...
If the government prints the (fiat) money to guarantee 15K/yr, how long do you think they will be able to survive on the 15K? Too many $$$ chasing too few products and services creates inflation (?).

Actually I think we’re most of the way to fulfilling this plan already. Was doing a service call today at a home where the primary bread winner had lost their job due to the covid-19 silliness. She announced that its hard to think about going back to work when the dole ‘pays’ better. She gets a dole check plus food assistance plus housing. Guess she didn’t understand working stiffs like myself afford her this happy existence. It didn’t go over well with myself or coworkers.
With all due respect Charles, surely you had to learn something from the girlfriend on how to make your paycheck work (better).
