Asia’s ‘murder hornets’ were spotted in the United States for the first time recently, causing scientists to worry that the insect might be colonizing.
“In Japan, the hornets kill up to 50 people a year. Now, for the first time, they have arrived in the United States,” the New York Times reported Saturday.

With queens that can grow to two inches long, Asian giant hornets can use mandibles shaped like spiked shark fins to wipe out a honeybee hive in a matter of hours, decapitating the bees and flying away with the thoraxes to feed their young. For larger targets, the hornet’s potent venom and stinger — long enough to puncture a beekeeping suit — make for an excruciating combination that victims have likened to hot metal driving into their skin.

There was a Nat. Geographic or some such documentary on the Japanese hornet-— great microfootage of the hornet getting into a beehive... and the worker bees surround the hornet, then bees have the ability to raise their own body temperature, and the thermal film shows this—— they “cook” and kill the invading hornet.
At great cost to the worker bees numbers-— but it wipes out the hornet who cannot return to their homebase and give course vectors to the hive.... so the video said.
Great stuff.

Like most baddies, you kill it, the chemical pheremones that get released cause the others to swarm and attack.

Too expensive. Grill lighter and some 20 foot wasp spray. Hit em for 2 seconds and they’re ready to eat. If there’s a bunch in one spot, you can get em all in one sweeping motion and have enough for a meal.

The badass hornet is large enough to carry a tracking device. Follow it back to the nest, wear a medieval suit of armor, and go boom.
Making honeybee hives with smaller entrance to keep out the giant hornet doesn't work. Their pincer jaws work like wire cutters.
Looks like France has had a bit of success with a nematode. Causes the bad boy hornet's belly to explode.
thats what they do
they lure one with a water source then a guy traps it in a net. he ties a piece of colored string on it, and lets it go
a spotter guy and him follow the thing back to the nest to locate it
then at night,...flame on
