Former President George W. Bush called on all Americans to recognize their common humanity and help one another during the current coronavirus pandemic.
"Let us remember how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat," the former president said in a video posted Saturday. "In the final analysis, we are not partisan combatants -- we are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God. We rise or fall together and we are determined to rise. God bless you all."
Released by the George W. Bush Presidential Center, the video included Bush's audio against the backdrop of various images, including those of people holding American flags.

‘Every time I see one of those Were all in this together announcements on the tube, I want to vomit.’
I especially love the rippling piano music, along with the breathy renditions of sappy songs...
That was one vote I wish I could have back, both times.
That’s your problem George., IT IS partisan.
Shut up.
What did your note say at the funeral ?
Are the babies to be aborted human beings, too?
Completely oblivious to reality, as usual.
I don’t unite with commies like you do Shrub.
These types of backhand, backstab statements directed at another Republican President (never a Democrat) are typical of the Bushes. I remember when our President Reagan was inaugurated, he wanted to symbolically distance his administration from that oft his predecessor (Carter) having made a big deal of having pardoned the Vietnam draft dodgers as his first official act. As Reagan’s first act on his inauguration day, to show a distinction he pardoned upper level FBI agents who had been convicted of violating the violent communist William Ayers’ rights. When the elder Bush (the first failure) did his inaugural speech, he made certain there was a line in there about “a statute of limitations over the Vietnam War” which was a direct poke at Reagan and those who served, amazing since old Bush never said this crap on the campaign trail nor when he was allowed to be Reagan’s VP. The “real” Bush came out, the one seeking the blessings of the Deep State and the Washington Post and showing that he really wasn’t one of “those people”. Read his lips - I knew then that his “presidency” would be the disaster which it proved to be.
Pound sand pardner.
I'm with you man...

That one from the CDC that says, “We think the world of you, but stay home!” No. You don’t.
Unlike the majority here, I stull like W. He was terrific on 9/11. That said, his mistake was not to defend himself in front of hostile media. Anyway, I think his message is good. If he wasn’t pointing at President Trump but Democrats instead.
It took him 12 years to say something sensible. I wonder what he will say in 2032?
Go away! Theres no way Joe Biden is going to pick you as his running mate.
Mitt Romney is eying that VP slot. Or should I say Misty Romney, the first transgender trans-party candidate.
Yeah Dubs, you can really work with people who call you, “Chimpy McBushitler”
Speak for your side GW. Tell your family and machine to unite.
Agreed. And he didn’t open his mouth for 8 years when Obama was dividing our country and destroying our standing in the world.
I respected the man until he took up with the Clintons and Obama. Now there are three that I voted for that I wish I had not. Wish Ronnie was around to cheer Trump on.
