Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker signed an order that will require all residents to wear face coverings in public.
The order, which was signed Friday, is set to go into effect on May 6. The rule applies to all workers and customers at businesses across the state, according to NBC Boston. The order will not apply to children under the age of 2 or those with health conditions that make wearing a mask not possible.
“I think we all believe that as part of the strategy around some sort of reopening, people are going to need a mask or a face covering if they're going to be close to people. You can't always stay 6 feet away,” Baker, a Republican, said on Friday.
“This is going to be a way of life,” Baker continued. “No ifs, no ands, no buts, no doubts.”
As of Friday, Massachusetts has the third most infections of any state, with more than 62,200 cases and at least 3,562 deaths, according to a count by the New York Times. Baker said the state has seen slight decreases in coronavirus hospitalizations, and as of Thursday, only 6% of cases required hospitalization.
“While there are still hundreds in need, this number has not gone up,” Baker said Friday. “Overall, this is a very good sign.”
Other states that have already mandated coronavirus face coverings include Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Without a presidential declaration of martial law temporarily suspending First Amendment rights the individual states have no legal right to do so. Quarantining confirmed COVID-19 case and those proven to have been directly exposed is reasonable. Quarantining healthy citizens with no known proven direct exposure violates their Constitutional rights. Am I wrong about this?
Come on, on the scale of dehumanization and dignity robbing of god's blessing, this is like a 2 out of 10. Abortion is 10 out of 10, speech restriction are a 9 out of 10. Masks are a sane, temporary health policy while 2000+ people are dying a day.

President Trump tried to push back on the Dem/Deep State farce but the state owned media fanned panic saying Trump was detached from reality and "we're all gonna die!". To the extent Trump went against Fauci, the MSM/Deep State fanned panic that Trump wasn't listening to medical experts. The Deep State MSM lied and sayed Trump was crazy and advocating the injection of bleach into human bodies. Trump put forth successful drug and the Media lied and said it was untested.
President Trump had no alternative but to let the public see the Deep State for themselves - hence Fauci and Brix were featured standing up on their haunches, lying their faces off. Trump's record is clear - but here you are, blaming him for not controlling Deep State assets embedded in agencies like the CDC and WHO. Typical.

This law only pertains to places where being 6ft apart is not possible. In other words this laws has zero teeth except maybe two people fighting over a phone booth.
