38 US States Have Reopened or Are Reopening Soon
Epoch Times ^ | 05/01/2020 | Zachary Steiber

Thirty-eight states have started reopening or are planning to reopen soon from the near-total economic lockdown implemented to try to slow the spread of the CCP virus, according to an Epoch Times tally.

Businesses in 21 states have already started reopening or will be allowed to welcome customers back on May 1.

Alabama, Georgia, Montana, and Tennessee are among the states that have already started reopening. Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming are among the states loosening restrictions effective Friday.

The other states that have reopened or are reopening on May 1 are: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Vermont.

Another 17 governors are planning to ease restrictions in the coming days, including Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak, and Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf.

The governors in that category have either firmed up the first phase of reopening in their states or outlined plans to have the states start to reopen on a certain date.

The other states with planned reopenings on May 4 or later are Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.

Letting retailers reopen but restricting them to curbside pickup and delivery isn’t counted as easing restrictions in the tally.

Some of the states still have most restrictions in place.

The 12 other governors are resisting calls to start relaxing their orders relating to businesses.

Yes. Pretty dumb. But have family that work at nursing home/ assisted living in MO. Hospitals sent people in cabs with covid and they were not allowed to turn them away. Small place but they had 6 covid cases at their place last week.

Same here in New Hampshire . Meanwhile Tokyo with 30 million people had 90 deaths and never closed. This lockdown was the most unnecessary crock of shit in human history.

Thank you for those pearls of wisdom It means quite a lot coming from an honorable patriot warrior such as you. You remind me of my father, who was a veteran of okinawa WWII, those words sound like they could be his words.

Fred Flintstone lookalike JB Pritkzer has "eased restrictions" by generously "allowing" five star country clubs to reopen in Illinois on May 1st, probably so he can go on a leisurely golfing day with his fellow millionaire limousine liberal donors (he'll park his lard butt in the golf cart while they do the actual golfing)

For the rest of us NON millionaires, lockdown as usual here!

Thank you for your kind remarks. I was raised in a family of many WWII veterans. My father lost a pilot brother, US Marines, in the war also. Several were in Korea. A couple of cousins have been in the military, but to my knowledge, I am the last person in our family to go into the military since 1970. After all that great service, the children of the 60s on have avoided service like the plague. A real shame. Some are worthless as teats on a borehog, but whatever, they are bums to say the very lease. I was basically the last of a great long line of military vets, from the War of Northern Aggression to Vietnam, and then it ended. Sad.

Dang, it’s a long haul from Fayetteville to Florence and out 20 to GA - but I just might have to.

The dogs are starting to give me the “you’re one of us” look.

Because governor ducey wants to get re elected while sticking a finger in president Trump’s eye so that perhaps ducey can get rid of the president that he despises so much.

He is an establishment rino. Az is now overrun with refugees from blue states. Pretty grim prognosis.

I don’t own one either, don’t plan to get one and won’t wear one. If a store is going to require me to wear one to go in, I’ll shop somewhere else.

One-Term Northam is screwing Virginia. And the brain-dead Liberals just love being seen as living in fear. Meanwhile, business here goes to shit.

Joking aside, golf courses were one of the last things that needed to close to begin with.

Idaho has not re-opened. They are doing a phased thing, and the first phase is barely noticeable. I still can’t go out to dinner at my favorite restaurant. And now, Costco is requiring masks in all their stores (curious timing on that one!).

I’m stuck here in Pennsylvania under Tommy the commie Wolf. My county is not one opening up. I wholeheartedly agree with all you have said. May God bless you and yours.

Illinois just this week has “mandated” (unlawfully) that people must wear masks when entering businesses, which we haven’t had to do for months now.

I guess I’ll see what businesses want more, my money, or to please the governor.

You also CF. They are opening up more next week now. The LAST damned thing they seem to want to open up are our Churches. They are afraid of us shaking hands and hugging necks too much!!
