SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – In a memo sent to city leaders, Governor Gavin Newsom stated that tomorrow he is announcing closure of all beaches and all state parks in California, effective May 1st.
Newsom highlights that after seeing multiple violations of the stay-at-home order is the reason for this closure. “Those images are an example of what not to see, people, what not to do if we’re going to make the meaningful progress that we’ve made in the last few weeks extend into the next number of weeks,” Newsom said, during a news conference Monday.
“I cannot impress upon you more, to those Californians watching, that we can’t see the images like we saw, particularly on Saturday in Newport Beach and elsewhere, in the state of California,” Newsom said.

Closing the booming economy down over this virus is the biggest mistake this country has ever made, IMHO.
What ticks me off is that our county only has a couple hundred cases of this virus and one death so far. New York has a third of all deaths in the country and we're being treated just like them. That's not leadership. That's mindless, robotic stupidity. Walking lockstep with the other idiot governors.
Apparently the governor of South Dakota said no, we're not closing the state up over this and the citizens love her for it. They will throw a parade for her to express their appreciation that she used common sense instead of political fear to deal with this virus.
Last Thursday 20,000 went to beach. The next day 40,000.
On the weekend at least 80,000
I believe that was an undercount so as to not show up the politicians even more.
Newsom does not like beaches as the sun and the wind would dry out his hair gel.

South Dakota reminds me of mini Colorado that I once lived in from 1989 to 1999 ONLY much , much better.
