Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leads President Trump in a new national poll that shows a reversal in the race amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Forty-four percent of respondents in the USA Today–Suffolk University poll said they backed the former vice president, while 38 percent said they supported Trump.
The last USA Today–Suffolk poll showed Trump leading Biden by 3 points in December 2019. Biden was in the middle of a crowded presidential primary late last year, while Trump was dealing with the House impeachment inquiry into his past conversations with the president of Ukraine.

Biden has two big things going for him. He’s got name recognition, and he’s perceived by many as being for the working man. He will siphon away blue-collar votes that went for Trump in 2016.
The proper strategy by his handlers is to keep Biden quiet, and let him coast along based on those two things. And that’s just what his handlers are doing.
With this CV disaster and he is only up by 6?lol ..as long as we vote Trump will win.
Some portion of Trump’s downturn is the fact that his base is getting impatient with the re-open. His initial statement of 4/12, then 4/30, then deference to the governors based on vague CDC guidelines is wearing on people. The important thing is to get the economy going as quickly as possible and then these numbers change. I don’t completely discount the findings.

How will Trump campaign?
He has until the beginning of August to begin serious campaigning including his famous rallies. That is normally when the serious campaigning begins anyway.
The China Virus numbers will be effectively down to zero by then and despite the whining and hysteria from the media Trump will move forward.

While there may be some truth to that, it is a gross mischaracterization and over-simplification, and is prevalent mostly on the right. It is approximately equivalent to saying Trump asked people to drink Lysol. Joe can be lucid enough from time to time, as his debate with Bernie showed.
