Biden has two big things going for him. He’s got name recognition, and he’s perceived by many as being for the working man. He will siphon away blue-collar votes that went for Trump in 2016.
The proper strategy by his handlers is to keep Biden quiet, and let him coast along based on those two things. And that’s just what his handlers are doing.

Having been a 'blue-collar' carpenter for forty years, it's my experience that the vast majority of men/women in 'the trades' have boatloads more common sense than 90% of the self-styled effetes.
What they see is a man who gets the job done - precisely what their lives and livelihoods depend upon - and, with the possible exception of union lackeys, relate to and will vote for that trait accordingly.
