Cuomo has come under increasing criticism for a March 25 directive requiring nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients. The directive read, in part (original emphasis): “No resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to the NH [nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. NHs are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”
The policy is being scrutinized more closely as some 25% of the state’s fatalities from coronavirus have occurred in nursing homes.
Critics argue that the state should not have put coronavirus patients in facilities housing the elderly, who are the most vulnerable to the illness. New Jersey and California have similar policies.
Cuomo has insisted that it is the nursing homes’ responsibility to refer patients to the state department of health, or to other facilities, if they cannot care for those patients.

My advice to a distressed family member of a lost loved one I can't really state on this forum, except along the lines of: don't expect justice for this unless you exact it yourself.
They didn’t want those people coming in there when they have a clean facility and no way to care for them.

My understanding is that these nursing homes, to a one, loudly protested the assignment of CV-19 patients upon first learning of Cuomo’s order. What a shameless and transparent effort to deflect blame for his own blunder!
Look, if St. Andrew Cuomo blames the nursing home’s greed, then that’s how it is. The media will confirm.
He needs to be held responsible
While! Talk about not accepting responsibility! We should hold this around his neck, if he should be thrust into the presidential election.

If this guy, is thrust into the presidential election, it’s gonna be all kinds of ugly and I think even he must know that. Since when do communists hold their leaders accountable for collateral damage? The only way a communist can lose his or her following is by engaging conservatives in anything that can be views as a positive way.

Instead of putting the elderly who tested positive but did NOT require hospitalization, on the Comfort or some other location to keep them safe, Cuomo allowed these people to go back to the nursing home, to infect others, killing many..if Cuomo were a Republican his head would be a on a silver platter right now, but since he’s a commie who the media loves, not a peep
He needs to be told loud and clear that each one of those who died because of this unconscionable policy was their family’s MATILDA.
