The CCP virus pandemic highlights a history of mismanagement, corruption, and lack of ethics in China’s virology labs, experts say.

Questions have grown as to the source of the coronavirus that has claimed over 197,000 lives and infected more than 2.8 million around the world as of April 25, according to a count from Johns Hopkins.

But the real number of infected and killed is unconfirmed due to the lack of accurate data from China.

One widely circulated theory is that the CCP virus was manufactured inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology, something the Chinese regime has denied.

Regardless, experts say the investigations into China’s research on coronaviruses point to a lack of ethics in China’s virology labs, the root cause of which is the absolute control of the CCP over these institutes.

“For many years, virologists working in Western countries have imagined that their Chinese colleagues operate under the same ethical guidelines that they do,” Steve Mosher, president of the conservative human rights charity Population Research Institute, said in an email.

“Certainly the written rules—copied from Western countries—look identical. But in terms of actual behavior, the practices are quite different. Everything in China is driven by the political needs of the CCP,” said Mosher.

I’ve always felt the most likely cause is:

Chinese lab cowboys, engaging in research considered too dangerous or illegal elsewhere, looking to be the first to get a patent, a name on a prestigious publication, or make a ton of cash with some new vaccine.

Combined with poor management practices and a top-down, no-criticism Asian culture

And also, poorly paid lab staff quietly selling equipment or animals on the side to make some extra cash.

I have never ever thought trade policies were a good idea with China. Most Conservatives used to feel this way until we had Republican Presidents who supported it.

A Chinese laboratory at the center of new theories about how the coronavirus pandemic started was the subject of multiple urgent warnings inside the U.S. State Department two years ago, according to a new report.

U.S. Embassy officials warned in January 2018 about inadequate safety at the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab and passed on information about scientists conducting risky research on coronavirus from bats, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Those cables have renewed speculation inside the U.S. government about whether Wuhan-based labs were the source of the novel coronavirus, although no firm connection has been established. The theory, however, has gained traction in recent days.

The Communist Chinese have played their attack on the West brilliantly. They have brought the greatest, strongest country in the history of the world to its knees in less than a month ... and without firing a shot (or a missile). Earlier this month, Tucker Carlson did a segment on the origin of the coronavirus. Carlson, who has been pretty aggressive in his coverage of the virus, pointed out a Chinese research paper (since pulled by the author) which claimed the virus could not have arisen at the Wuhan wet market because the horseshoe bats where the virus arose were not for sale at the market. In fact, the bats are not naturally found anywhere within 900 miles of the market.

However, bats were being studied for viruses they carried in two labs including one just a few hundred meters from the market.

Novel coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95 percent had China responded to the outbreak just three weeks earlier than it did, a March 13 study by the University of Southampton has found.

IDK if its a lack of ethics or simply poor judgement but when I hear about people doing what I call “stupid microbiology tricks” its usually a virologist. Like when two of them went to the arctic to collect samples of the 1918 flu virus from bodies that had been buried in the arctic permafrost for 75 years. It only killed 50 million people. What could go wrong?
