Boston Globe's obituary pages span a devastating 15 pages in its Sunday issue as Massachusetts grapples with third largest outbreak in the country where the case toll has hit over 36,000

The Boston Globe newspaper's obituary section spanned a devastating 15 pages in its Sunday edition, as Massachusetts reels from the coronavirus crisis with more than 36,000 cases.

Massachusetts has the third greatest coronavirus breakout in the country with more than 1,560 deaths reported so far.

While not all the deaths that filled Sunday’s Boston Globe issue were virus-related, there has been a stunning spikes in deaths in the state as a result of the pandemic.

'Never in my life have I seen the obituary listings take up almost a whole page. I can’t imagine what NY and NJ papers look like,' one Twitter user said, sharing photos of the hefty paper.

A month ago a video from Bergamo Italy showed page after page of obituaries ... Boston Globe Obituaries April 19, 2020 15 Pages. And we are not yet at the point on the curve that Bergamo was when the video was made,' Twitter user Nathaniel Mulcahy tweeted Sunday.

The Boston Globe's growing obituary pages is a terrifying echo to the 10 full pages of obituaries documented in Italian newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo that circulated in the hard-hit Lombardy region last month.

Video emerged on March 13 of an Italian man highlighting the impact of the coronavirus outbreak that caused the local newspaper’s obituary section to dramatically expand. At that time there were 17,600 cases in 1,266 deaths.

Last Sunday the Globe's death notices in the paper spanned 11 pages, prompting one reader to tweet: 'I've never seen this in the paper.'

On Sunday April 21 last year the obituaries section of the paper spanned six pages.

Last week, Globe reader journalist Julio Ricardo Varela shared a video solemnly flipping through the extensive death notice pages.

He noted that the notices included the names of people from other states and

How is the Boston Globe considered an essential business?

They lead with obituary, then switch to cases in headline. Why isn’t 1,560 deaths in headline?

The free world is entitled to reparations from CCP’s carelessness or its sneak attack on the West.

Surprised it isn’t more in Boston since they had a Biogen Super Spreader that sent it to Indiana.

“He noted that the notices included the names of people from other states...”

This is like the Recent Deaths pages at Wikipedia: list as many people as possible who died (or MIGHT have died) from the Wuhan Flu, whether anyone has heard of them or not, in order to spread fear.

Yep, they want you to think 36,000 people died. And they are all in the obits at one time? LOL

I’m of the opinion that this pandemic is specifically targeting those of a certain political bent, and that doesn’t make me lose sleep in the least.

Not saying that they still won’t vote in November.

The so-called protesters really messed up. They did all that they could to turn voters in both parties against our President and his Administration by falsely advertising that the President is with them.

Just because so many of us are quiet in the face of the ranting and raving doesn’t mean that most conservatives are agreeing with the spoiled, criminal minded morons trying to publicly and intentionally spread the disease.

‘cause 36,000 sounds scarier. They fail to mention that’s cases. Not deaths.

How do they define a “virus related” death? Probably just enough connection to keep the fear going.

The cities. The states. Those that have the most reported cases of this virus ARE RUN BY DIMOCRATS!!!! The Jack@$$e$ who claim to have all the answers to all the worlds problems are reeling with thousands of cases and deaths. How is that? I always heard they were sooooooooo damned smart!!!

Almost as if they’re doing this....on purpose!

Or, that they have the most dense populations/cities, in the country?

Or, both?

Did you take a wrong turn on the way to DU?

I don’t know what you are smoking, but most of us here completely support the freedom fighters. Tracing studies have shown that there is almost no transmission outside. There is no real science in any of these lockdown orders, just a bunch of petty tyrants strutting around with Gestapoboners.

It has been said again and again that the marginal cost, in terms of human suffering, of continuing lockdowns exceeds that of opening up.

When our President acts on bad advice, it is his supporters’ duty to call that fact out. Tiny Fancy and Hans Brix have slavishly followed a model with no predictive capability.

This is all about Nancy Polident’s desire to use this crisis to facilitate voter fraud in November.
