EXCLUSIVE: After spending weeks diving into coronavirus issues over video conferencing, a bipartisan group of 50 House members has crafted a plan for what's needed to reopen the economy safely and help businesses recover from crippling mandatory shutdowns.

Fox News got an exclusive first look at the Problem Solvers Caucus plan that outlines specific public health, economic recovery and long-term stimulus plans the group wants Congress and President Trump to embrace as the nation tries to emerge from weekslong quarantines and growing mass layoffs.

"The bottom line is people I think are eager for a checklist. They want to understand what we think it takes to get everything moving again," Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, told Fox News.

Interesting ideas. I’d say the workplace protective measures are going to be a non-starter for many business establishments. They may as well stay closed if they have to treat their place of business like a contamination zone.

Typical.

Actually Josh, I’m not interested in what you think at all.

I agree. Might take at least a month for many businesses to even get close to compliance. Not to mention the expense and lost revenues due to compliance. For many, probably not even worth opening back up.

Workplace:
All workplaces opened for business will need to configure layouts and workspaces to maintain required social distancing along with appropriate PPE resources, cleaning, and sanitization to ensure a safe workplace is maintained. Employers will need to follow strict cleaning and regular sanitization guidelines. Certain industries with large group gatherings or tight settings such as restaurants, airlines, theaters, and public transit will have to follow stricter standards to operate

My mask is a long sleeve shirt.

Ordinary people need masks.

Restaurant customers will need special masks. Tables could be set outside 30 feet apart lined up 90 degrees to the prevailing wind.

The supermarket I’m near still hasn’t restricted parking spaces to restrict store occupancy.

It goes way beyond just the time and effort to meet these requirements. Public transit may be one thing, but how much discretionary business is an airline, a theater or a restaurant going to do if the customers have to sit in a place that looks and feels like a contamination zone in a hospital?

The democrat defense is there must be universal, equal for all mass testing. Absent that he Trump economy closure must be maintained.

This is now escalated to war.

Wal-Mart here closed down one of their entrances/exits and assembled a barricade queue line at the other. Waited in a spaced-out queue line of about 30 people. One employee had a tablet and counted people going out the exit, another had a tablet and allowed people into the entrance. Surreal. I should be taking more video of this stuff for posterity.

A democrat from New Jersey should be talking to his state’s Governor
Didnt he insist Trump doesnt have the power to order his state?

Do you mean that all the cars should be closely parked?

Our grocery store counts people, not cars.

Just curious: what if the wind changes direction (say, at an oblique angle)?

Text messaging to the state health department might be used to build a contact database.

I might first text my nine-digit zip code to say #FLH so the health department knows where I live.

If I visit my neighbor I might text her nine-digit zip code or phone number to #FLH.

If I go grocery shopping, I might text B Publix Nokomis to #FLH.

If I go to church, I might text C Catholic Church Venice to #FLH.

If I go to the food bank, I might text I 34275 South County Food Bank to #FLH.

If a social service worker helps Steve the homeless man, the worker might text H 34275 Steve to #FLH.

Text messages would be date stamped automatically.

The democrat defense is there must be universal, equal for all mass testing.

Once the testing starts coming back and it is realized that over half the populace already has been exposed to Dovid-19, without any symptoms, watch for the Left to then pivot to some new requirement they cook up.

It’s going to be a repeat of the vote recount issue in the 2016 election. Leftists demanded a recount in some states. The recount started turning up anomalies, but not the kind the Left wants reported, like vote totals in some Detroit precincts exceeding the registered voter total. The recount was then quietly shut down without explanation or apology.
