A new NBC News/WSJ poll also shows how the past month has changed Americans attitudes about the coronavirus.
In March, 53 percent of voters said theyre worried that someone in their immediate family would catch the disease. Now its 73 percent.
Also in March, a combined 26 percent said the coronavirus has changed their day-to-day life in a very or fairly major way. Now its 77 percent.

No, I am reasonable. I don’t have an complaints about my “liberty” being taken away.
Perhaps, its about what you “think” you have a “right” to do.
You might want to do some reading about Liberty and Freedom. And the difference between the two.
MD is her title jackass, not her state of residence. Another lovely assumption you arrogant idiot.
‘Ever had to stop on the tracks because the cars you thought were moving ahead of you stopped and you had nowhere to go?’
no, Danny, I never have, and I highly doubt any such thing ever happens...you shold just give up on the train track deal, the other guy is eating your shorts...
Thank you as well.
Rock on - the risks are understood, we’ll win in the end
Good for you.
So tell me. How have I supported this movement from going into McDonalds every day?
Can you show me where any of my posts have supported any of these restrictions?
Can you should me where any of my posts—going back to January have suggested any “death rate” or “millions” dead, or supported anyone doing so. In fact, you will find me ridiculing them.
Just because I point out where your fellow posters are hypocritical and fostering the same kind of hysteria they accuse everyone else of...it doesn’t mean I don’t think you should be free.
What I’ve said numerous times: I know what I have to do to keep myself and my family safe. I don’t care what you do.
You don’t get more conservative than that.
I have also said that I would join in a civil disobedience action if I felt my Liberty was being impinged. Its not—at least not where I live.
Perhaps where you live you have a bad government. You might want to consider moving...when you are allowed to leave your home.

I remember that panic. We closed down the country for 8 months straight. Oh wait a minute, never mind, that was just a nightmare I had the other night.
But it was the diseases highest death toll in at least four decades. It eclipses the estimates for every flu season going back to the winter of 1976-1977. Estimates for many earlier seasons were not readily available.
But we know it caused 500,000 (U.S.) deaths in 1917-1918, which was also while WWI was raging across the pond.”
Then the question is, why the shutdowns over this virus and not any of the others?
I dont live in maryland and I did not vote for the current government. You are apparently not free to go eat in a restaurant or go to a church service. And if you think your posts are fake better reread.
By the way I have never said dont buy a reasonable amount of food and I work in a hospital in one of the hotter spots I am quite aware what is going on. Despite all you have said I wish your wife well both with her chemo and with the current and future viral seasons
And you probably think I am from Vermont.
I thought I read she was from MD. I am sure she would correct me.
And calm down. You might want to take a hit on your pipe.
A anesthesiologist accusing someone of being arrogant. I’ve spent enough time around you folks to know how rich that is. Most of you couldn’t figure out how a pager works.
It’s all about you you you. Congratulations!
Danny would rather pass stringent laws limiting the ability of people to travel because one study in east pump stump Eurasia showed the possibility that someone conceived of a situation where this might happen. SHUT “ER DOWN he shouts, because we cannot be too careful. And by the way, he will have a zillion pretty charts to support his position, that re all based on the same faulty assumption.
Another mild no. name calling post exposing you for the fraud you are. By the way the guy you say cant figure out a pager is a highly respected intensivist who has forgotten most medicine than most people will ever know. Nice job. I am through replying to you
Not worried. Had it in January, recovered fully. Not bad for being 71.
You have spent enough time around us folks? Why not trying refuting what I have said instead of insults.
You have your perceived liberty so its all good. you got yours, so screw everyone else. A Real patriot would assist those who live under tyranny in this country instead of sayin I got mine.
I thought you didn’t care. I am pleased you are comfortable. Please, live in your comfort and go away.
I will keep your life an you in my prayers for her health and successful completion of her chemotherapy.
Good luck to both of us!
bless you and glad to hear of your recovery
You’ve certainly done your part to stir up the fear and hysteria, I’ll give you that.
If you did not vote in the election you have nothing to complain about.
I apologize, I made an assumption. It happens to me often as well.
Did I not say I walked into my church this morning? OK.
Did I not say that I got the same food from the local eatery. OH, you mean “go in and sit down.” The food is the same. My friend is just as busy—if not busier than before. He can even sell beer and wine. He is making more money because he doesn’t have the staff.
You seem to think life is going back to the way it was. If you are an MD, you KNOW better than that. And you know that neither Trump or your Governor are going to have much to say about that.
I am not sure what you mean by your last sentence in the first paragraph.
In any event, thank you for the well wishes. She was just about done with Chemo and had a celic volvulus—which set us back.
You guys seem to take discussion as argument. In none of these back and forths have I been angry or said anything nasty.
YOU, yourself have repeatedly attacked me, and I’ve responded with comments or explanations. You assign a tone and valance because you disagree—or you see some other fool yelling.
As a doctor your job should be to calm and heal. I don’t see much of that with your posts—not only about this—but about anything. You must have a stressful job and family life. Because you come across angry.
My advice is that you vote in your next election. Use your finely tuned communication skills to convince others to vote for people who will follow your wishes.
And honestly, if you continue to live under the oppression where you are—I would consider moving. The salary and prestige are not worth having “chains” around your legs, as one of your cohort told me.
Using inflated CDC “estimates” over the last ten years, the flu kills around 36000 a year in the US. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
So that data is wrong, and this data is correct? Hmmmm
