Just checked with my friend in Honduras. In the capital, they’ve had nothing but sunny days with 85-95 degree days. They’re still having a bad time with COVID-19 spreading.

So WTF. Send all those grandmas and grandpas suffering from either Covid19 or fear of Covid19 out in thong swim suits and tell them to hit the beaches. Bus those too senile to know the way there. Youngsters wishing to swim, surf, flirt or play volleyball can do so at their own risk. Avert eyes from octogenarians in swimwear.

it is what I tell everyone I know. Sunshine daily. Seasonal viruses and colds are seasonal because in the summer people go about in short sleeves and hatless while the sun is at a higher more effective angle. Sunshine every day in the summer and vitamin D supps in the winter prevent flu and colds much more effectively than flu shots.I have been doing it for 15 years and have had no virus in that time and no shots. Sunshine may well kill or this virus, too. I will find out something in a week or two. A new hire at the shipyard where I work called in sick two weeks ago and turned up “positive” two days ago. We will see if he spread it among the 1200 guys out there while he was positive and at the yard. Everybody gets lots of sun there.

I am a security guard. I worked as a tack welder(shipfitter) for 6 months in 78 on the yard’s first steel hull- a crew boat. When it was launched there were no further projects in immediate prospect and everybody got laid off. Most hung around working in construction or in restaurants etc. I went commercial fishing and didn’t come back to the yard for 37 years.
Glass tends to block most relevant UV light. That’s why you won’t sunburn sitting in your car with the windows up.
