That’s correct. Heat does not equal sunshine. Sunshine helps your body make vitamin D.

Exactly how much vitamin D do you believe the sun can provide a given person during exposure of say an hour, or two, or even three?

I’ve been told that even regular concentrated exposure is nowhere near enough to get needed vitamin D - at least here where I live (in MN).
