The winds have shifted in MN., and Trump has been working the state hard.
A good chance he could carry the state in Nov., and a good possibility of electing a Republican Senator, as well.

I was enthusiastically supporting President Trump when many others here were cheering for Constitutionally ineligible candidates.

Building the wall will be meaningless if it is not coupled with restoring the rule of law and repatriating the illegal aliens.

You left out effective when describing the protests. Whitmer says she will try to open May 1. MN should be at the forefront of states opening for business. 111 deaths from 2,071 cases. The number of deaths per million is 20 tied with Iowa for the 15th lowest in the country. Better than Germany with 50.

The tweets and "protests" are just not what we need right now.

They are exactly what we need now, especially in the states headed by foot-dragging Dem governors. The demonstrators cut across party lines. People are frustrated being under house arrest and the infringement of their civil liberties. Zealous Dem governors would rather cripple the economy in order to defeat Trump.

Pelosi has warned that without a plan for adequate coronavirus testing, it will not be possible for the economy to reopen or for Americans to return to work safely. In the meantime she is holding up money for small businesses to cripple further the economy. This should tell you everything about what the Dems objective is.

Obama with the assistance of Deep State spied on the Trump campaign and transition teams and nine months into th Trump Presidency. They launched the Mueller investigation to destroy and remove Trump. They impeached him just as the virus crisis was heating up. Now they are trying to hobble the recovery.

And you are calling the protests, "cringy and irresponsible." How do you reach such a conclusion? Did you find the Tea Party demonstrations similar cringeworthy? Should the citizens accept the usurpation of their Constitutional rights by the edict of a governor without any legislative involvement?

You can expect more public uprisings the longer the people are kept under house arrest. Whitmer got the message and other Dem governors who imposed draconian measures will feel the wrath of the citizenry of all political persuasions.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Doesn’t make sense that anyone would claim to lose confidence in him now.

I’m watching the Minnesota protest LIVE from a Faecesbook account.

There’s a huge American Flag with Trump’s picture superimposed on it; any number of other American Flags and Trump banners; and an ENDLESS stream of cars going on both lanes of the road outside the governor’s mansion, honking excitedly.

All happy excited and enthusiastic.

They interviewed one of the protestors:
“If state workers are getting paid, and we’re still paying taxes, then open up our jobs.”

Go felch a camel vermin.

I will crawl over broken glass to re-elect him, but more needs to be done to reverse the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).
We are already 30 million people down that road.
Extending H2B visas and increasing H1Bs, and not removing every illegal alien they come in contact with will not MAGA.
It will make us North Mexico.

I was disappointed last night too. Not in the President - it’s not his fault - but just disappointed he can’t get out from under these alarmist bureaucrats he is surrounded by. They sound the alarm bell, and once rung, it cannot be unrung.

Once an “expert” says (without proof) that something is unsafe, now the burden of proof is shifted onto anyone who wishes to dispute it - they have to prove it is safe, which of course is impossible.

My wife is an obstetrician and she deals with the same dilemma all the time. She is surrounded by doctors who she says are far too quick to call for an emergency c section, when it is not a true emergency.

The ostensible reason for calling a c section is always medical risk, but there is a lot of leeway in assessing risk and sadly, she says it is common for doctors to call for a c section simply because it can be scheduled rather than having to wait around. In other words, for their convenience.

The problem is, once a doctor calls it an emergency, it is impossible to reverse course. The doctor calling the emergency doesn’t have to prove a natural birth would be unsafe, but if she overrides the decision, now the burden of proof is on her to prove that the natural birth is completely safe - which is impossible.

I believe President Trump is in the same boat. Alarmists can’t be ignored.
