Why Michael Savage Is Blasting Hannity and the Right-Wing Media on the Virus
.nytimes.com ^ | April 16, 2020 | By Jeremy W. Peters

There are a lot of people who are ruining the country right now, according to Michael Savage. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Liberal mayors in big cities like San Francisco. Undocumented immigrants. Homeless people.

But for the past two months, listeners to Mr. Savage’s conservative radio show have heard him howl with unabated contempt about another menace: “The pimps” in the right-wing media “who tell you what you want to hear.” They are “intellectual dwarfs” and “science illiterates,” he says, who spent weeks downplaying the threat from the coronavirus epidemic and accusing President Trump’s opponents of exaggerating it to hurt him politically.

On Mr. Savage’s broadcast, which has one of the largest audiences in talk radio with 7.5 million listeners each week, the virus has never been a hoax or a bad case of the sniffles. He has lectured his fans on the research in detail: How it is transmitted; which treatments are proving effective; and the difference between morbidity and mortality rates.

With no small amount of self-satisfaction, Mr. Savage reminds people of his credentials — a Ph.D. and training in epidemiology — and of the fact that he was one of the few voices in conservative media who had warned them all along.

“he’d be better criticising Tucker Carlson for being an absolute covid alarmist in the early weeks.”

That’s when I left Tucker went over to Graham Ledger on the Daily Ledger Show at One America. He is a true patriot.

Mike has one great show a month, one good show a month, and
the rest is a struggle with his own boredom,
his greatness, and his distemper for anything in particular.

The most notable thing about him is that his son
invented, and developed the Rockstar energy drink.

They are definitely packed like sardines there, but there was a colossal failure in leadership that shouldn’t be forgotten...

When Savage first appeared, I thought he was one of the right guys at the right time. Probably within a couple of months, I tired of his formula. He often made a point of telling callers who agreed with him that they were idiots.

His theme seemed to be everyone else in the world was an idiot.

He lost me, pretty much for life.

I'm one of the morons who thinks killing a nation is the wrong way to save it. He isn't worth listening to find out, but I would not mind if one of his fans could tell me when Savage thinks is the right time to open things up. Will there be a country keft at that time?

On what station? Mars? I haven’t heard that guy on the radio in years.

San Francisco Chronicle 10/16/06

I think he even donated to Dianne Feinstein but I can’t find the links this morning.

From Wiki:

He holds master's degrees from the University of Hawaii in medical botany and medical anthropology, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in nutritional ethnomedicine.

Odd, there is no mention of training in epidemiology.

Suddenly the NY Times is touting Savage as an expert. Could it be because he's back to bashing his competitors again?.....not that he's ever stopped.

Dr. Weiner holds a Ph.D. in nutritional ethnomedicine. He is NOT an MD. And his "training" in epidemiology? Who knows what that means.

Weiner is an obnoxious loudmouth with a history of pathological never-Trumperism.

I had it with name SA VA (both SA and VA pronounced as in AH) ge when he sided with Obama on the Zimmerman trial. Once in a while he does comes up with some good stuff. He’s carried in Michigan on Detroit’s AM 760 right after Levin.

-- Apply that same standard to influenza, and the USA will have at least 250,000 influenza deaths every year. --

Yep. The books are cooked.

The gating sytstem created by the CDC lumps "influenza-like illness" (new acronym, ILI) with COVID for purposes of allowing the herd to leave the barn. The COMBINED numbers must decrease in order to clear the new hurdle. If flu pops up, the social policy will pretend it's COVID.

I despise the guy, but I honestly don’t think NYC has a leadership problem. The problem with NYC is that it’s filled with peasants who rely on government to do everything for them.

NYC and NJ have over half the deaths. Subway and dense living plus they have overcooked the books with recording unknown deaths as Corona.
