New York taps McKinsey to develop a ‘Trump-proof’ economic reopening plan
CNBC ^ | 4/16/2020 | reuters

Governors from seven East Coast states formed a coalition on Monday, led by New York, to develop a joint reopening plan. Three governors from the West Coast formed a similar plan. The 10 states, mostly led by Democrats, together make up 38% of the U.S. economy.

As part of Cuomo’s effort, McKinsey & Co. is producing models on testing, infections and other key data points that will underpin decisions on how and when to reopen the region’s economy, the sources said.

Both Kurt Schlichter (Indian Country) and Matt Bracken (Enemies Foreign and Domestic trilogy) have written about this*, and are books worth reading. (fiction, with Matt being especially prescient).

*this = a few coastal states (east and west) form a new socialist ‘nation’.

“producing models on testing”

Like they would come out anything that would be favorable to

Trump.

The models have to be scary or why bother?

Eventually, the people of NY will open the state back up on their terms, and not on McKinsey’s or the democrat party’s. Then, shove it up their bums at the polls, if they’re allowed to vote, or their mail-in vote isn’t “lost” by postal workers.

The President should “Trump proof” their allowance.

Well it was an advisor to the idiot from NJ who actually mentioned the president for the article. Maybe the same one who advised him to go on Tucker last night.

SOOO true.

Years ago McKinsey geniuses advised AT&T to *NOT* get into the cellular business.

It cost the ‘new’ ATT BILLIONS to buy its way into the industry.

I happily turned down an interview with McKinsey in the middle of my career. No. Frickin Way.

Yep. These governors have become despots, and not just the democrats. It’s why Trump made the statements he did about presidential power.

When I first read “East Coast”, I thought it was “East German”...probably accurate.

Question..

If the Governors have to power to open their States over and above the President, then they had the power to close their States and can’t hold the President for inaction. ?

Yes, because McKinsey & Co is always right. /src

Didn't McKinsey hire Chelsea Clinton, fresh out of college, with no work experience, at some ridiculous salary?

Do they have their own Federal Reserve to print money whenever they need it?
I’m thinking that Trump has leverage over interstate commerce with the stroke of a pen or not using a pen at all on any legislation presented by Congress.

I say, LET them do it. While the rest of the nation is back up and roaring by July, they'll have their States on lockdown, reminding me of those pictures you used to see of east and west Berlin during the Cold War.

When November comes along, everyone will know who to vote for.

The 10 states, mostly led by Democrats...

What an article - talks about 10 states, but doesn't name any of them, except for NY.

But the "mostly" part indicates to me all I need to know. Like, when Homer said once: "Please don't be the boy... please don't be the boy...", I know the "boy" here will include Massachusetts.

It’s pretty much understood that McKinsey is a CIA front operation.

So, let me see if I understand this strategy?

Trump allows the economies of the rest of the states to re-open and these states experience explosive growth.

These Dem governors keep their states closed and they languish in recession.

How does this aid democrats in November?

I think a movement needs to commence quickly to save the core of this nation and to cut the Northeast and the western states off from the nation for a time. Illinois needs to be militarized and made into a territory and the murderous crimes in Chicago squelched. Those areas of the Us want to work at cross purposes with the rest of us , then let them do it on their own resources.
The political drift of the progressives is now strongly evident and they must not ever again be given control of our nuclear weapons. They will use them to enslave the rest of us. Congressman Swallwell revealed what is in the hearts of Dem socialists and what they intend for those moral people who will not knuckle down to them. He said he advocated the use of nukes for those restive populations who would rebel against their rule.

Trump can say to the Governors involved...”plan all you like, but not without US resources or treasury funds, and certainly without military support.”
