Just announced - Cardinal George Pell - appeal succeeds. Convictions quashed

No source I can link to yet, but Cardinal Pell will be freed from prison today, cleared of all charges.
Thank God.
Because the case against him was severely flawed.

I honestly think the Vatican stuff is largely irrelevant.
I live in Australia - I’ve seen first hand for the last 25 years how hated Pell is by the Australian left. He really is the biggest target of their considerable hate and has been all that time.
They’ve been trying to get him for years on something.
There doesn’t need to be a massive Vatican level conspiracy.

You may be right, but I still think it goes without saying that many of the crooks and queers at the Vatican were very happy to see him go.

Oh yes - the man - from my knowledge of him - is as close to incorruptible as any man I have ever heard of. Nobody would have wanted to be trying to hide crimes from him.
