Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after his condition worsened, Downing Street has said.
The prime minister has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputise for him "where necessary".
A Number 10 spokesman said: "Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital.

“A Democratic state Rep. of Detroit who tested positive for coronavirus praises Trump for recommending hydroxychloroquine.
Asked if she thinks Trump may have saved her life, State Rep. Whitsett of Detroit said: “Yes, I do,” and “I do thank him for that.””
Will they intentionally let him die?
Taped a few days prior.
FOX News just said Johnson is not on a ventilator, but that oxygen is “available” to him. President Trump coming out with briefing shortly on FOX.
If it comes to that his odds are less than 15%.
He has to. See him appear in public with a mask on, and the panic will be unstoppable.
Downing Street on Monday said that Johnson has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State and the most senior Cabinet minister, to deputize for him where necessary.
Raab chaired Monday’s regular morning coronavirus briefing and made a televised statement saying that the government will continue Johnson’s direction in responding to the outbreak.
and if he dies? Even worse
When I saw it was Day 10, I told my husband that’s when they crash, in a matter of hours from what I’ve read. Hopefully he makes it through this small period of time when they are so vulnerable to the cytokine storm.
Not if Boris is on the National Health Service— who would LOVE to kill him off. Much as the current op being run by obamaumaocare political apparatchiks... who say this is WHEN we should put every one on berniecare, and ignore doctor/patient relationship and clinical care/treatment agreement.
NHS kills more people. But, probable Boris is on private care, but maybe the hospital isn’t which is bad enough for Boris. BTw this hospitalization first reported on Russian media.
simply not so. We are successfully extubating many covid patients
The Z-pack does have a slight chance of causing potentially lethal heart problems in a relatively small number of people, especially those with prior cardiac conditions or in frail general health. Unfortunately, there is no test for this and the consequences are occasionally lethal. However, during normal times, the Z-pack is considered a safe later generation macro life antibiotic widely issued and prescribed for a wide variety of ailments. Doxycycline is emerging as an alternative to azithromycin for those potentially affected for COVID-19 use.
Hydroxychloroquine also can have some ugly issues. It can cause some major, often lethal cardiac issues in a tiny minority of the population. Think of it as a sort of lethal genetic allergy - dont recall if theres a test for that yet, but there might be.
Short version - both drugs are well known and very safe for the supermajority of the population, but for some people theyre lethal. This has been known for a long time.
thank you for that info. I didn’t know any of that. Much appreciated.
Er, autocorrect got me - macro life should be macrolide.
See my typo correction above. And youre welcome; neither drug is a completely 100% safe option, but they are each generally considered among the safer drugs to prescribe - hydroxychloroquine has been around since the 50s, azithromycin since the 80s. However, safe does not mean wholly 100% can pop them like candy safe. They can have lethal side effects and they cant all be screened for before consumption.
So while the combination seems to be a viable COVID-19 treatment for sure, we should keep in mind that there are people that this treatment *will* kill.
Neither was shaking every hand, un-gloved, in a COVID-19 ward.
Prayers for his recovery.
The survival rate on a ventilator is more like 5%.
40%

Correct.
For the record: Dominic Rabb, technically the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, would take over for Boris Johnson should Boris become incapacitated. Rabb is actually a stronger conservative and more staunch supporter of free individuals than Johnson. So while we should all pray for Johnson’s full recovery, at least we know that the UK won’t fall into communist hands.
