there’s a magnificent passage in an Isiah Berlin essay, titled I think something about Churchill and history and he says exactly that: that Churchill played a part, quite literally. And it was crucial to the survival of civilization.

I just heard on FNC that in future videos Clueless Joe will be wearing a mask. Talk about giving off bad signals. Hide in basement, wear mask, mumble incoherently. A leader!

Remember the UK is a country that wouldn't let that little baby boy, Archie I think his name was come here to receive life saving surgery. They let the little boy die.

Ironically, his prior attempts at statecraft on a large scale, whether as Home Office head, Lord High Admiral, or Chancellor of the Exchequer, were disastrous, despite the indisputable quality of his mind. Had WW II not occurred, he would have died in obscurity like his father ended up doing after a meteoric rise. But WW II was to Churchill what Tevye was to Chaim Topol, only in real life.

Parlimentarism sucks. All a majority party has to do when ever it doesn't like something is call for a ‘’vote of no confidence’’ and a whole new round of elections have to take place. Parlimentarism is one of the surest ways for a dictatorship to come into existence. People tire of having to go through the process all the time and eventually settle on someone smart enough to appeal to that voter fatigue.

I’m not a doctor but sometimes I identify as one. 5% survival sure seems small.

I am being serious - a mask for Joe could solve one of his biggest problems - his incoherence.

If Biden wears a mask, they can use technical/Hollywood tricks to make sure he “says” logical, concise, wise things. Especially at the virtual “convention.”

Internet rumors flying around that he may have sepsis and O2 levels are low. Hope it’s not true. Prayers for PM Boris.

Oh dear Lord... I pray that is not true. But - then again - the 'rumors' about 24 hours ago had Boris in the ICU (when we thought he was just 'in the hospital').

More prayers for PM Boris Johnson...

It could be too late for HCQ. Once the temperature spikes to 104 and lungs fill with mucus, the HCQ may not pull him out. Boris should have been on it a week ago, he was diagnosed 10 days ago.

Someone was more than passingly stupid.

With HCQ therapy timing is everything.

The point is rather academic, since all 8000 private hospital beds, with staff, have been integrated with the NHS for the duration of the crisis. Most will be used for the less severe cases, since there are few intensive care facilities in British private healthcare, which is mainly geared up for routine procedures. In any case, most senior hospital doctors in the UK work for both the NHS and the private sector.

Has anyone informed Joe that a mask does *not* filter out gaffs?

A fellow democrat in Congress, low IQ Sheila Lee has volunteered to show Joe how to wear a mask:!

Congressional Idiot, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), shows Joe, how to wear a surgical mask!

Dr. Sheila says, “Joe, when you put your nose outside the mask, it makes sneezing much easier to share your germs and virus with the Deplorables.!”

Well, the UK Parliament has managed to keep going for nearly 400 years since the last dictator. And do you know how many votes of no confidence in HM Government have been passed in the last 100 years? The answer is three, two of which were passed in 1924, the last in 1979.
