New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) said Monday that early responses to the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine anecdotally suggest its use in the coronavirus fight has been effective, but that official data was still forthcoming.
Asked about the progress of the trials at his daily press briefing, Cuomo noted that state officials have allowed use of the drug in combination with the antibiotic Zithromax in hospitals at their discretion. He said the federal government would increase supplies to New York pharmacies, but that New York has imposed a 14-day limit to protect the supplies for people who rely on it to treat other medical conditions.
The tests in the hospital, theyre too short a period of time to get a scientific report, Cuomo said. Hospital administrators, doctors want to have a significant data set before they give a formal opinion. Anecdotally, youll get suggestions that it has been effective. But we dont have any official data yet from a hospital or a quote-unquote study, which will take weeks if not months.
There has been anecdotal evidence that it is promising; thats why were going ahead, he added, noting that some patients have a pre-existing condition or medication regimen that prevents them from taking it.
An increase in the supply from the federal government, Cuomo added, would allow New York to lift the 14-day restriction.

Did your brother Fredo get it? At the hospital or could he get it from a pharmacy without being admitted to the hospital?
Coumo sounds and acts like the “Godfather”
Cuomo is more like Don Fanucci, than Vito Corleone.
Has your brother taken the "anecdotally" effective HCQ yet?
“anecdotal” is the new “debunked”.
As in — “This information is very inconvenient to me and I’d like it to just go away”
There’s a rhetorical question.
“Oh i won’t fill it or you even though you’re the governor’s brother”
next day call from boss “you’re fired”
When you’re cured using an anecdotal treatment, do you still have to go to the hospital?
Hey, Cuomo, tell it to the pathetic @sswipes at cnn(Brian “ugly @ss” Stelter and msdnc(little joey and his bubble headed bleach blonde).
So if hydroxychloroquine is the answer, what is the COVID19 infection rate of the thousands of people that take it all the time? Surely that info is out there but it doesn’t seem anyone is looking for it.
“Anecdotally” is the new “unexpected.”
Happy to see it. Cuomo’s begrudging admission will carry more weight in some quarters than Zelenko’s enthusiasm. Everything helps.
NY’s desire to politicize the use of this drug at the expense of lives is a perfect illustration of why leftist centralized government is bad.

I was going to post exactly that same thing. GMTA. :)
Better to be anecdotally alive than scientifically dead IMO.
What a dumb@$$.
"If Fanucci was dying, would I pay for a doctor to help him?"
Raggedy Andy
LOL. Dr. Trump threw a monkey wrench into the whole “Drag It Out”...upp, oop....I mean the whole “Slow The Spread” effort didn’t he?
