The US on Friday set a new record for the number of COVID-19 deaths in one day with 1,480 dead, the most of any country since the pandemic began. That topped the record set by the US the previous day with 1,169 deaths.

The numbers are being manipulated,because the feds are paying all covid bills. Anybody who has the virus, or possibly even symptoms, are being written off as death by covid.
Tens of thousands die every year by the flu. This really is being hyped, but may not be worse in the end.

But that’s only if it’s flat. This is still growing at an exponential rate.
Hopefully we can shut it down with treatment and with social distancing.
Highest daily number of deaths from the flu is 508. Covid will go way beyond 2000.
ITB s tough to say, because so many people are being written off as covid victims when it is more likely they died of their underlying conditions.
Or exasperated the underlying conditions, or created more complications. My mom is 65, but me and my sister have asthma; hers is worse than mine, but we’re at higher risk than the average person that is actually healthy.
Then you add in my low thyroid, epilepsy, elevated cholesterol, general anxiety... May as well live in a bubble.

The same happens with the flu. A person has an underlying condition and the flu will finish them off. The killer is the flu/covid. Not the underlying condition.

You don’t know that. These folks are now tested all of them. I’m so tired of conspiracy theories especially since they are made up. You offer no proof other than something you just make up. Offer solid proof and I will accept it - hunches don’t count.
One would think India holds the record. Lots of people in a poor place. That also fits China but they cannot be trusted to report actual figures.

I’m a student of economics and human nature and am aware that our bureaucracies are filled with sociopathic bureaucrats who would seek the most rational way of lowering their costs when they are able to. Covid is a perfect opportunity to hide costs and pad budgets and get away with it, because nobody is going to question your numbers,lest look like they are sociopaths.
