ITB s tough to say, because so many people are being written off as covid victims when it is more likely they died of their underlying conditions.
Or exasperated the underlying conditions, or created more complications. My mom is 65, but me and my sister have asthma; hers is worse than mine, but we’re at higher risk than the average person that is actually healthy.
Then you add in my low thyroid, epilepsy, elevated cholesterol, general anxiety... May as well live in a bubble.
The same happens with the flu. A person has an underlying condition and the flu will finish them off. The killer is the flu/covid. Not the underlying condition.
I am so sick of hearing that people are dying of underlying conditions, and that they just happened to have covid19. Most, even the older ones, had their underlying conditions under control. Even the young pre-diabetics never expected to die now, without being given a chance to control their condition. If any of our young Flubros have so much as a benign case of high blood pressure, expect the worst. If you are fat, good luck.
