On Friday Govenor Andrew Cuomo announced he will sign an executive order to allow New York State to take ventilators and PPE from facilities who aren't in urgent need of them and disperse them to facilities who are harder hit.
The majority of the COVID-19 cases are in New York City and the surrounding counties.
The State will be mobilizing the National Guard to pick up and distribute supplies to and from hospitals in need. Cuomo said resources will be shifted all across the state depending on the need of the equipment and PPE.
"I am signing an Executive Order allowing State to take ventilators and PPE which will be returned or reimbursed," said Cuomo. "I apologize to those institutions."
"There could be several hundred excess ventilators in hospitals that don't need them right now," He said. . Cuomo expects some hospitals to take this up in court. "If they want to sue me for borrowing ventilators to save lives, let them sue me."

Wait a minute..didn’t Cuomo say in his press conference earlier this week that he had ventilators stockpiled for the peak of the virus? Why would he have to steal them from other hospitals if he has, I think he said 10,000, in storage?

Is there any published list of the hospitals in New York with data setting out number of beds, how many admitted, how many are caronavirus patients,etc.???
I’ve heard the hospital ship and recently built field hospitals , hotels converted to hospitals have few patients.
I try to never borrow anything and am very picky about loaning out.
Fortunately, no one associates with me much so I don’t get hit up.

He needs them just like he needed the Navy hospital ship. He’s a hoarder. Trump should send the hospital ship to the Gulf of Mexico where it can be put to good use, from Mobile, to New Orleans, to Galveston.

I doubt this will actually happen. If hospitals have anything, they have lots of good lawyers. As usual, he is just blustering to cover his incompetence.
