You would think that in times of emergency, political leaders would put their ideology aside and accept help from whomever offered it. But that doesn’t appear to be the case regarding Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York.
His state has become the coronavirus epicenter in the United States and he, like other elected leaders in New York, has been pleading for medical supplies — especially ‘PPE’ (personal protective equipment) and ventilators for the critically ill.
Well, one company idled by Cuomo’s coronavirus executive order to shut down because it isn’t considered “essential” has offered to make these items for the state. Only, it’s not the governor’s ‘kind’ of business.

When I turned 18, the first election I could vote, I voted for Ronald Reagan. Have never, ever voted for a single Dem. My folks discussed politics in the home, we kids were well-informed, and done the same with ours !!!
Then Remington should ramp up manufacturing anyway, in spite of Cuomo, and sell them directly to the New York public with an ad campaign that says:
"We're selling these directly to the People because, just like with Firearms, your Democrat Governor would rather you DIE than be able to protect yourself."
Pure Politics and Pure Wrong.
I am second to none in my dislike of Cuomo. However, the article does not support the headline, inasmuch as there is no evidence given that Cuomo made any decision about Remington at all.

Same here... AFAIK, I am the first in my long, distinguished family line to ever register Republican... received an ovation from the folks waiting in line at the county clerk’s office. I’ve never voted for a (socialist) demonRAT... never will!

cuomo during his presser was interviewing fredo asking him about the fever & such. fredo said that during his fever he saw cuomo in a ballerina outfit waving his magic wand. ROFL.
That presser was cut short. BTW, fredo did not look or act sick...he was worried about his hair.
Darn, now when I hear cuomo's name, I picture him in a pink tutu.
Somewhere in an attic, there’s a covered portrait of him getting more and more attractive.
I hope the Feds take the attitude that if he’s willing to turn down help offered because of political reason then we’ll send supplies to people who wants them.
Cuomo himself has not made it known publicly of his needs
