Rocker Sean Lennon Rips the Media for ‘Wuhan Virus’ Double Standard, Spreading Chinese Communist Data

Rock musician Sean Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, is slamming the news media for its coverage of the coronavirus pandemic, saying that they are spreading Chinese Communist propaganda and engaging in double standards.

Sean Lennon took to Twitter Wednesday to air his frustration with the way journalists are reporting on the global outbreak, especially when it comes to China.

Sean Ono Lennon @seanonolennon

Been listening to ‘respectable’ journalists quoting CCP official numbers for months without doubt or hesitation. Calling it the Wuhan Virus but only days later telling ppl who say it’s from China they’re racist. The official media have lost their legitimacy.

@seanonolennon We live in a time that calling a virus that came from China, Chinese, is racist, (and arguably dangerous for Asians because: morons). Oh, and calling a virus that probably didn’t come from Spain, Spanish, well that makes total sense.

Yes, I remember several of Julian’s songs. He actually had hits.

That’s right. Lennon and Reagan hung out in a box at Monday Night Football and got along great. Go figure. John Lennon said and did a lot of idiotic stuff (e.g., “Imagine”), but he wasn’t stupid and his opinions shifted over time. One of his biographers claimed that by the time of his death in 1980 he often expressed conservative views. A lot of Sean’s comments get retweeted, and frankly, he often sounds like a common-sense conservaive.

There is a video on Netflix called “Beatles Stories” where the butler of Lennon when he was living in the Dakota said at the end Lennon was much more down to earth.

In fact, he said that he was ashamed of “Imagine”.

If that is not surprising, he said John Lennon came down one day and said: “If I was an American, there is no way I’d vote for Jimmy Carter. I’d vote for Reagan.”

I kid you not. Watch the video if you don’t believe me.

“A shame because I thought he’d have a lot more great songs in him.”

Me too. I enjoyed his first album and was hoping for increasingly better songs (a la John).

His father was an enigma. A nihilistic leftist for sure, but he had way of producing some epic classics:

My only quibble is, most of the media hasn't had credibility for decades.

Beware the power of apostasy. Defections is the left’s most hideous nightmare and much of their rhetorician word slinging is aimed at keeping their troops behaving as engineered. A surprising number of rockers are on our side, or quickly becoming so as the Internet and plain old down home back porch logic continues to sap their foundations.

Yoko Ono is Sean Lennon's mom.

Yoko is Julian Lennon's (John's first son) step-mom.

Julian Lennon on Left, Sean Lennon, on the right.

I read a while ago they get along pretty well, and last I heard Julian and Yoko are on speaking terms.

Julian's mom got totally rooked in the whole escapade, though.

Probably the two most successful Beatle children are Stella McCartney (who is a successful fashion designer)

and Zack Starkey, the drummer for The Who since 1996...

...and who got his first kit from Keith.
