So they pulled out a spreadsheet and he agreed to continue the ruination of the U.S. economy? I hope the discussion was deeper than that.

Really. Yesterday he said that he and Birx decided and POTUS went along with them. He’s a weasel, and I’d love to hear his cell conversations with Hillary each evening when he’s done for the day.

It will be the end of May, if not the middle or end of June.

Sigh....he's still doing media interviews. Frankly, I'm disappointed that the President is still allowing him to do this while retaining him on the taskforce. I don't care if he's criticizing the president or complimenting him. This guy is supposed to be in a "war room" and instead he's on CNN.
Generals do not win wars with Colonels running around discussing battle plans with the media. They have a daily press briefing. That should be enough.

The data does not necessarily indicate what the advisors claim that it does. President Trumps’s hands were tied. This was a political calculation, not a decision based on the “science”. The “data” and the “modeling” have been as accurate as the modeling for global warming. We are a long ways from understanding whether anything the government has done has been worthwhile. That will take testing for antibodies in representative sample populations throughout the country... my guess is that studies that show we trashed the economy based on dubious "science" will never be funded unless someone believes it will help get rid of President Trump.

DeWine and Acton (aka Chair Ohio for Obama) says mid April now instead of mid may.
Trump can suggest but imho it will be up to the governors

I think it was a far fetched to think everything would be back to normal by Easter..Trump is the eternal optimist, Im still hoping that somehow this can be cleared up in the next few weeks so we can go back to our normal lives
To: griswold3
Of course it will be in the hands of the governors...just like the shutdowns across the states. Trump is advising based on the advice (good or bad) he’s receiving from Fauci and Birx. I’m sure the potential numbers of what might be if the restrictions are prolonged don’t look great...imagine the blowback if he pushed for Easter and we got an uptick in everyone’s numbers and had to go back to more severe restrictions...however, if things don’t get as bad as they think, or even improve slightly, he’s got the green light to put the brakes on the restrictions, or at least suggest to the governors based on their individual states’ condition

Don’t count on “normal”...less restrictive, yes, but it won’t be “normal” like it was for some time...think differences in travel post-9/11...some things will change permanently...maybe even borders??
