The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of two anti-malaria drugs to treat patients infected by the new coronavirus.
On Sunday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said in a statement that chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine could be prescribed to teens and adults with COVID-19 "as appropriate, when a clinical trial is not available or feasible," after the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization. (EUA) That marked the first EUA for a drug related to COVID-19 in the U.S., according to the statement.
Currently, there are no specific drugs for COVID-19 which, as shown in the Statista graph below (accurate as of March 26), has sickened over half a million people. According to Johns Hopkins University, over 720,000 cases have been confirmed, more than 34,000 people have died, and over 152,000 have recovered since the pandemic started in China late last year.

ANY test. “Do you smoke?” Is a “test”. You have a question, you get an answer, it’s binary, there are False Positives and False Negatives.
I have seen speculation the other way too, especially in the French tests where zinc was not given - the HCL opens up the virus, the azithromycin rips up the tRNA growth or replication process (which are two theories of how AZM works on bacteria) and the virus disintegrates.

The Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum mechanics essentially states that an object in a physical system can simultaneously exist in all possible configurations, but observing the system forces the system to collapse and forces the object into just one of those possible states. Schrödinger disagreed with this interpretation.
So what does this have to do with cats? Schrödinger wanted people to imagine that a cat, poison, a geiger counter, radioactive material, and a hammer were inside of a sealed container. The amount of radioactive material was minuscule enough that it only had a 50/50 shot of being detected over the course of an hour. If the geiger counter detected radiation, the hammer would smash the poison, killing the cat. Until someone opened the container and observed the system, it was impossible to predict if the cat’s outcome. Thus, until the system collapsed into one configuration, the cat would exist in some superposition zombie state of being both alive and dead.
Of course, Schrödinger claimed, that was ridiculous. Quantum superposition could not work with large objects such as cats, because it is impossible for an organism to be simultaneously alive and dead. Thus, he reasoned that the Copenhagen Interpretation must be inherently flawed. While many people incorrectly assume Schrödinger supported the premise behind the thought experiment, he really didn’t. His entire point was that it was impossible.
While it is true that modern experiments have revealed that while quantum superposition does work for tiny things like electrons, larger objects must be regarded differently.

They are hoarding the drug. The demand will skyrocket once the drug is proved a good therapeutic.
The cat sort of does have a similarity to the sensitivity/sensitivity. You can have one or the other. You can’t have both.

Interesting.... on Hannity last week, Dr Oz clearly blamed the fact that the fish tank cleaner was a “sulfated” version of the drug, for the deadly results of its use.
Not the first time Dr Oz has been proven to be full of sh!t.

I am trying to be self-satisfied that I knew what you were going to say when you read Raoult, et al. In other words, I am getting a handle on your perspective and learning better what are the important questions to ask and how to get them answered.
I am disappointed by the result but not devastated. I wanted this to be something... (sigh).
You mentioned somewhere (can’t quote you but this is how I remember it,) how in order to bring these people back from the brink, the compound/drug must have dramatic and drastic properties in vitro or it is not going to do that in vivo.
Your clinical experience is sound and people should listen to you or at least those who are still in it daily, because I say without fear of contradiction, that a novel virus is NOT going to upend the entire science of virology or epidemiology!
Yes but you can also bet that a novel virus IS going to do SOMETHING unexpected. This is the first time in not just history but hundreds of thousands of years THIS virus has interacted with the human genome. Sure it will “follow the rules” of epidemiology etc. but I would bet my ass we discover something no one saw coming.

Health care providers are putting out the word that the hydroxychloroquine is being rationed for patients who already take it plus the most seriously ill covi-19 patients. So it is already being prescribed. Sounds like it is being manufactured in mass.
Or did I just mis understand you?
I hope there will be lots of “anecdotal” testing in places like Louisiana, where there may still be hope of turning the curves downward.
