The CARES Act, the $2 trillion coronavirus emergency relief bill that serves as Phase Three of Congress's coronavirus relief efforts, has passed the House of Representatives. It is the largest stimulus package in U.S. history and aims to provide funding for hospitals, and targeted relief for small businesses. The successful vote comes after hours of cantankerous debate, in which one unhinged Democratic representative was ruled " out of order " on the House floor.
Once the measure finally passed, the entire House erupted - in a positive way.
WOW and just like that, the motion is adopted.
Entire House on its feet.
Have not seen unity like this on a major, tough bill in a long long time.
The monumental vote was emphasized by the following photo. It's not often we see scenes like this.

That wasn’t unity.
It was bribery.
I don’t know this specific situation, but scenarios aren’t difficult to understand:
* Own or work in an industry that requires customers.
* Government forces industry to shut down, or customers are too scared to visit.
* Payroll, rent, utilities come due.
Viola, you are out of business or unemployed.
And, for an added bonus:
* Savings are invested.
* Market crashes.
Goodbye, savings.
I certainly don’t have that attitude. If you lost your job why can’t you collect unemployment? My understanding is it will pay you net (under the legislation just signed) what you were earning when you were working?
If you are married you will soon be getting $2500, not a huge amount of cash but surely it will help.
Quantity of money is inversely proportional to its Quality.
America is now forever changed.
Thomas Massie is the only conservative member of the House.
People will also demand federal money now. And get it.

You could well be right.
No. And the voice vote was obviously unanimous. After "Any nays?" Silence.
What a roll call vote would reveal is that the House did not have a quorum.
I have a great admiration for Friedman, though he probably never imagined that the results of inflationary policy would be spread across the globe and not localized to the country doing it. It seems that every other country is paying for our sins.
If a quorum had been present, she would have allowed a roll call vote.
If not for Massie, this would have passed with a near-empty chamber.
The House has failry sophistcated stup for times when quorum can't be obtained on acount of catastrophe, and those rules mention on reason of conatgion. Knowing they'd not want to come back, even those rules were never invoked.
Screw the rules for them, don't try this at home.
Although they didn’t do a roll call vote, do you think that some congressmen, who told their opinions, about the bill, will be rewarded or punished, for their view about it?

Please Trump STOP listening to your advisers! They are deep state or Keynsian idiots who would have you become the next Herbert Hoover.
Agree but when I say that on social media they think I’m an idiot.
The good news is that after mid April when people start suspecting the media is full of shite, and realize the death rate is under 1%, the markets and the economy will start improving. By July the public will decide to not speak of their mass hysteria in public, and by September it will all be forgotten and Trump can focus on sleep joe.
Crap, that is terrible. You must be angry. I would be sore at the media and the medical “experts” that made so much hay from this.
Enjoy the recession.
True that
Wait until the next Democrat President.
Pray there isn’t a “virus”
The original failed House bill, this time, will be mild compared to what is coming.
Vote was 96 -0. How was that a quorom?
The Senate vote was 96-0, is that what you’re referring to?
