The bill is overwhelmingly going to pass. This is an unnecessary stunt.

How does a roll call vote delay it and by how much?

Trump needs to go nuclear on Massie and primary him out. Replace him with someone who does not exploit a crisis to make a vanity point.

If it just means everyone in Congress has to vote in person on a bill that will pass by a wide margin anyway, then I'm fine with it.

If police officers, EMTs, hospital workers and truck drivers are expected to do their jobs during this "crisis," then every member of Congress should get their asses to the Capitol and do their damn jobs.

Time it takes for enough Congress critters to go physically to Washington to get a quorum.

It was going to pass by voice vote I assume, not requiring a quorum of members to be present. The roll call vote would require members to actually be present on the floor to physically vote.

It was a Trillion dollar bill. Then it became the 1.6 trillion. Nancy wanted 2.5 trillion. Nancy “backed down” and now it’s 2.2 and loaded with billions for Democrat projects to foster illegal voting, dump boatloads of money on Africa, billions for refugee resettlement with no time limit.

Yeah, they need to vote on Nancy’s dream bill. Good for him.

Why?

Because the biggest pork bill in the history of the republic with massive progressive clauses should have a RECORDED VOTE?

Good idea, probably a good idea for his supporters on FR as well;

You don't see the irony in your statement with regards to the rest of Congress?

Yeah! get someone in there who will rubber stamp anything Nancy and Mitch agree on in a “crisis”. The best laws are made that way... like the Patriot act, like the creation of DHS.

Because the Republicans have been pushing the narrative that Pelosi has been stalling this bill, and they have been scoring a lot of points with the public. This guy is going to blow this narrative back up into the Republicans’ faces. The average person is not going to know or care about the House protocol and rules. They just see that their check is going to be 1 day later because of a Republican.

Why would a roll call vote stop the vote for the Corona Virus Bill?

It seems to me that some members of Congress are unsure of their positions on the issue and don’t want the vote recorded.

It’s a stunt, probably a dumb one, but maybe also an important one. If the precedent is set that two trillion dollars can be negotiated on behind closed doors, nine hundred pages of legislative text written and voted upon without being read and passed into law without even allowing a token voice of dissent to be recorded in the congressional record, what’s the point of a legislature?

Is quorum unnecessary?

I agree that roll call is not necessary.
