Dyson, the company behind high-tech vacuums and hand dryers, says it has received an emergency order from the United Kingdom for 10,000 ventilators, and that it has already designed a new machine.
James Dyson, the billionaire founder, wrote in a letter to employees later obtained by CNN that he received a call from U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson regarding the short supply of ventilators.
Just 10 days later, Dyson wrote that the company has designed and built a new ventilator called the CoVent.
"This new device can be manufactured quickly, efficiently and at volume," according to Dyson. It has been designed to "address the specific needs" of coronavirus patients.
In addition to the 10,000 ordered by the U.K.s National Health Service, Dyson will be donating an additional 5,000 units.

You didn’t build that!
Designed a portable battery operated ventilator from scratch in 10 days. Meanwhile the MSM is in love with music man frauds like Elon.
Give the contract to one of our manufacturers and they’d be on the plane to China the next day with the plans and specifications.
Obadiah Stane: “Tony Stark built this in a cave! From a box of scraps!”
Dyson: Hold my beer

Mattel could probably make them if they used higher quality materials.
The ventilators are probably cheaper than his high end vacuum cleaner.
He could probably do a BOGO and make a fortune. Who wouldn’t want their own ventilator?
Socialize THIS, Deep State dickwads!!
Wait. You mean the government didn’t have to mandate that Dyson do this? How could this be?
He could probably do a BOGO and make a fortune. Who wouldnt want their own ventilator?

Hopefully it does both.
Sweet. That was always the problem with the DC6, it kept falling over.
bought a used dyson vacuum cleaner about 8 years ago. Best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever owned. That guy is a genius.......
The normal ventilators require a tube inserted into your lungs. Which is extremely uncomfortable. For that reason, I understand they usually medically temporarily paralyze you and restrain you.
But I've also heard that BIPAP, a form of CPAP, machines can provide some non-invasive ventilation benefit.
Home ventilation treatment doesn't sound like something anyone would want.
