Hydroxychloroquine has not been clinically proven to be safe or successful in treating coronavirus

We are facing a pandemic - this is not the time for the FDA to insist on its usual glacier-like clinical trials scheduled to finish 5 or 6 years from now with some disclaimer that mice who eat the stuff by the bucket may get cancer. If this stuff seems to be working and doctors are prescribing it for patients who have coronavirus, then the answer is to ramp up production so there's plenty both for prescribed and off-label use.

Looking after yourself and your family first is not selfish.
For the same reason we are instructed to put on our own oxygen masks first, so you won't pass out while assisting a struggling child, doctors should make sure they have what they need so they can keep going and help others.
