LANSING, MI -- The Big 3 have already or are preparing shut down, at least temporarily.
U.S. automakers, including Michigan-based General Motors Corp, Ford and Fiat Chrysler, and their suppliers are suffering financially amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine teamed up to write a letter to President Donald Trump and Congress asking for help, the Governor’s Office said in a statement released Friday evening.
Maybe Trump can wait till after the election to see which way Michigan wants to country to go before deciding if he should help them?

I agree. Sales were down anyway. Automakers have been dealing with fluctuations in demand for decades. The UAW, I’m sure, has negotiated generous benefits for employees who have been laid off. Those employees, I’m sure, will also be eligible for the $1200 (or whatever it turns out to be) the the government will be sending to everyone.
