Should the government really send us 'free' money, use it wisely. If you do not need the money, what better way to spend it than to donate to pres Trump (his campaign) directly, so he will win landslide in November! Only a Trump presidency will help to steer us and the economy back on track, and to ensure our survival as a Constitutional Republic!
My wife and I were discussing this last night. We normally give large donations to a couple ministries each year. I’m a senior volunteer with one of them and some of our kids volunteer with the other She plans to donate all of hers to them.
I told my kids that as long as they remain employed, they should invest theirs.
A huge influx of cash into corporations will serve to jumpstart them again and sort of act as a thank you for the way many of them have stepped in to serve America.
First thing is to understand the money isn’t “free”....
First of all, like everything else, I’m sure I won’t get it. But if I did, I’d go to the bank and ask for all $1 bills, since toilet paper can’t be found anywhere else.
I could put it into my money market savings to offset a tiny fraction of the money I've lost in the stock market ...
OR ....
I can use it to help friends who are hurting right now. Some of which are struggling right now having lost their jobs in all this, others of which are self-employed, won't get a check and could use the money more than I can.
As for me, I'm investing in my friends and helping them out. I don't need the $$$ and they do. It's a slam-dunk decision for me.

$1200 ain’t spit...and won’t keep anybody from tumbling into whatever financial abyss they were already destined for.
If he is screwed either way then why is he siding with the communists who are shutting down our country to take control of it communist style??
Like every other government gimme, I am the one who pays for it, not the receiver. I wish they would have made this a tax refund, then at least the people benefiting would be those who actually work. Most of the beneficiaries will be those who are already a drain on society, and they will likely spend it in ways that will make their own situations worse and probably lead to the spread of the virus.

WE are on SS, his is based off 20 yrs Navy and 20 yrs teaching Computer science/math/Sisco to those who would be teachers of it. Retired Dept Chair, Jr college. Mine was min wage jobs for disability, went to regular at 66. Last of the Boomers. He has a state and Navy pension, but that is based off 58-80 theen college for teaching degree time frame.
I’d Bank it, and in the fall help my grandson who is going to Tech School get a better than he 30 yr old car he has for safer transportation. He works after school, and summers. Pays his own phone, car ins. still lives with his dad. How jobs for them will play out is iffy. Son is Type 2 Diabetic and near 50. Wrong age for job hunting and Diabetes is a drawback.
As self employed, we’re probably going to pay taxes :-)
What about dependents who did file a tax return? (I have a son in college.) If you are a dependent on someone else’s return, do you think they will receive the check?
