When Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced a ban on spectators at the Arnold Classic, a juggernaut of a sports festival that brings tens of millions in revenue, the move seemed radical. It was March 3, and the state, after all, had not even had a single confirmed case of the novel coronavirus.
But within days, large-capacity events were being canceled nationwide.
A week later, DeWine recommended that his state’s colleges suspend in-person classes. Across the country, they soon did. He then closed Ohio’s public schools. Other states followed.
And on Sunday, DeWine ordered all restaurants and bars be shuttered. By Monday, they were turning out the lights in New York, New Jersey and Maryland, too.

I am ashamed to say that I voted for this lunatic. The choice was DeWine versus Sherrod Brown. DeWine ran a half-ass campaign that handed the election to Brown.
Unfortunately for Ohio, DeWine will be in office until 2022.
I think the President is in a vice. If he resits these measures and it spreads they will crucify him. This happening in the middle of a election year is just an awful aspect of this. It distorts every move, he has no choice but to go along or they will destroy him. He cannot do the calculation of damage to the country versus attempting to contain.
I don't think they could put President Trump in a vise over something that is false. I've watched every press conference. President Trump is all in. He's 100% convinced that this is a threat. He's called it a world wide war against the virus. His every word and action tells me this is a very dangerous virus....and he should know.
If this shutdown had put me out of business, I would likely have a very different opinion....an opinion that might discourage me to vote in November.

Makes me sick I’ll be forced to vote for DeWine the puke, to stop the commie Cordray next time.
This is going to be a huge win for Trump. Not only was he on the right track to prevent the virus (immigration and less dependence on China, America first, etc) but when we beat it by November he can claim to have literally saved the country.
Can't wait to see liberal faces then.
